I had a good nights sleep last night, waking up at 6:30 which is a good 60 to 90 minutes later than I have recently. I approve of this change.
Milo got mail this morning, some lick e lixs from
pensnest and I got mail from her too ♥ Milo has had two of the licks already and Murphy one as he gave me such a look of betrayal that he didn't get one that I couldn't resist giving him a treat too.
I was a bit worried about Milo yesterday as he threw up twice, the second time meaning I had to wash his cat bed, but he seems so much better this morning. The vet seems to think it could be a 24-hour bug as he's eating and drinking today and his wound looks good, I also suspect it could have been the painkillers he's on upsetting his stomach. He's always so much more alert when they wear off after 12 hours, but I don't want to wean him off them yet until the vet says as he's bound to be in pain and cats are masters of hiding that.
We got to see Bodhi and she's adorable. Such a gorgeous tiny scrap of a baby and I really enjoyed my cuddle time with her. Kayleigh and Lucy are utterly in love with her and Kayleigh especially is posting up a storm on social media, but I love that. Seeing them so happy and excited is a beautiful thing and she makes me laugh when she describes things like the first night at home -- which boiled down to, things went a bit pearshaped and all their careful plans were abandoned when confronted with a baby who needed feeding and changing and burping multiple times during the night.
I picked up my new compression wraps but while the straps had gone down in size like my lymph nurse measured for, they were only regular size and not long, meaning not enough straps so they didn't reach my knees, leading to a muffin top leg effect. After some phone calls it turns out one of the doctors had written the script wrong -- the lymph nurse sends the measurements to my doctor surgery who then writes the actual script and approves it. The wraps cost £200 so I'm only supposed to get one set every six months at best, so someone will be getting a slapped hand as these ones can't be sent back and I need the exact size.
James is off doing tip runs from my MiL's house so I'm staying home with the cats. I need to get some cleaning done, and make an attempt to catch up online, but to my delight, there was a Christmas movie on Movies 24 so my background watching is making me happy.
