They do in some ways, especially the Case Files which were written for the slightly older reader. But some of the early mystery books read very dated. Though that's not surprising really considering when they were written.

I used to enjoy reading Nancy Drew, too. Just not as much. As a small kidlet it was nice to read about Nancy being all competent and solving mysteries.
