I always remember buying the first Case Files book and being amazed at how grown up it seemed. I mean, they killed Iola off. That wouldn't have happened in the earlier books.

It just shows how much of an impact they had I can remember that first read so many years later. Many many years later.

And yeah, I totally get the brothers thing, too.
