It's amazing what you can do with a hockey stick and a washing line. We've been putting our outside lights up but there was no way I was going up a ladder to the roof. So we had this system of tying the lights to the line and pulling it to the top windows where I used the hockey stick to get them over the porch roof. I have to say they look good, and we only dropped the line once, which was pretty amazing really.

I must admit that it's one trend that I love, people decorating the outsides of their homes for Christmas. They look so pretty. Now all I have to do is finish decorating inside and we're done.

oh yeah, that's one thing I loved about the USA - the decorating of the outside of the house! And about the hockey stick and the washing line: do you mind if I call you McGyver for a sec?

Oh yes, people decorating the outsides of their homes- they're doing it more and more and in France, and I'm definitely glad! It makes things so much prettier! And so much more christmassy too *g*

ooo. Love the hockey stick idea. We have all of our outside Christmas decorations secured to the premises with those tie wrap things. The husband thinks anything in the world can be held together with tie wraps and duct tape, and I'm actually starting to agree with him, lol

Happy decorating!

... I was re-reading this entry, and suddenly a completely different image involving a hockey stick popped into my head.

I just have one word : OUCH
