James sent me an email from work yesterday saying four new Strictly professionals had just been announced. He sent me the link to Nikkita and yep, guess he knows me and which one will attract my attention.

New pros must mean that they're doing a full celeb line-up this year, and I'm looking forward to it. Though do hope this doesn't mean Graziano doesn't get a celeb partner and stays a backup dancer, because he's just adorable on insta, always classy and gracious even when he was dropped from a main role.

Today I also saw the first mentions of Bake Off, no adverts yet or hints of contestants but the usual thing of people wondering when it will be on, and then someone else saying no, it always starts in autumn, and then the inevitable shock when previous start dates are looked up and yep, most years it has started in August. Though apparently will be a bit late this time due to the Olympics being shown.

It's Lucy's 30th birthday and Kayleigh has spoiled her rotten. Last night I thought she'd be celebrating by giving birth as she had to go to the hospital late evening to be checked. Baby B is fine, so is Lucy, but I doubt she's going to get to her due date. Hopefully, she'll hang on for a bit as I have the dates 28th and 29th on the guess the birthdate thing Lucy and Kayleigh set up. Not that I'd keep the money, but it's always nice to win something, especially when that comes along with a new baby niece ♥

Ahaha. Yes, he knows you. I have to admit, I gave up on Strictly a long time ago (I'd watch an edited version where we just get the dancing and the scores, but all the other guff, nah).

I've really enjoyed the Sewing Bee - did you watch that? It's a kinder, gentler version of Bake Off, and I keep feeling inspired to rush off to charity shops and remake random garments. Fortunately I come to my senses and remember I cannot sew before I get round to it.

I guess James has paid attention to you just a bit the last several years. :)

I record Strictly then start watching about half an hour after the start so I can fast forward through the judges' comments. I love the dancing and mostly enjoy the interviews afterwards, but the judges are too much. They obviously all play up their personas but sometimes I just want to know what they think without the theatrics.

I do watch Sewing Bee, and agree with your description of it. It's just feel-good tv that yeah, does make you want to create. Though like you, I can't sew so no doubt would end up with a disaster if I tried.

I also like The Great Pottery Throwdown for similar gentle kind reasons. Though I won't be trying that either *g*

I just saw something on twitter and thought of you. I can’t remember if you’ve seen Star Trek Lower Decks yet but there’s a thing on it for comic con and your boy is back!

STRICTLY! I'm mostly sad that Bruno won't be on it, although Craig and Bruno's Roadtrip thing on ITV has been like fanfic so far :D

Craig and Bruno's Roadtrip has been amazing so far.

I love that we see them beyond their Strictly personas and Bruno in his tight tight speedos made me laugh so much.
