I used the recipe wenchpixie gave, suggesting the turnips be sliced and cooked in stock, and they came out really nice. The white turnips tasted much milder when cooked than the more usual kind, so I can easily imagine them being nice in a salad or stews. Now I know what options are available I think I'd actually buy them on purpose.

James is back to work Tuesday so it's good he is feeling better. He's using his wheelchair as walking still hurts, but that shouldn't be for long.
