I'd second the rec for slashcity. They are (obviously) slash friendly, and rps friendly, and the service is excellent. Also the price -- $24 a year for a site which is *plenty* big enough for a fic site, plus an e-mail address and one mailing list, and a bunch of other stuff I don't use.
Media files I guesss depends on how much bandwidth you need. However, slashcity lets you buy extra bandwidth without upgrading the rest of the package, so they might be a good option for that too.
