I have my computer back!
Well, actually it was back yesterday but I had to reinstall all of my stuff on it and get it back to how I like it. Thankfully they managed to save most of my info, all I've actually lost were the saved emails I kept in thunderbird, but as I never delete from the actual Gmail site and use that as storage, I could get them from there in the future.
I sort of kept up on Insta so said thank you there, but thank you again to Pensnest, Misbegotten and Romantical for the cards/parcel, they really cheered me up.
Normally I'd try and catch up on my flist but this time, as it's been so long, I suspect I'll have to draw a line and start reading from today. So, I hope you've all been well.
As for what's been happening to me.
Starting with the good news, Lucy and Kayleigh's baby is due on Tuesday, but it looks like she may be here sooner than that, so baby B in the near future \o/
So-so news. It was my lymph appointment last Friday. Sadly I'd retained more fluid in both legs but my nurse was fine with that, saying the really hot humid weather would have been an issue, plus the fact I'd been really busy with in-law stuff. Also, my compressions were shot. They haven't been holding for a while and he said that normally they last between twelve and eighteen months, I've finished off mine in six. Probably because I do religiously wear them and try to walk as much as I can which affects the velcro over time. So, he said they wouldn't have been giving much compression at all, which is typical. But, new ones are being made now so I'll have those soon.
Sad news. It's James' uncle's funeral Monday afternoon, then exactly twenty-four hours later, in the same place, it's my FiL's funeral.
( cut for death talk )
Everyone had a much needed day off from house cleaning today, and we spent it by going to Re.F.Use for breakfast and to pick up a waste not box. Nothing too out there and everything we'll use, though I now have a lot of milk that needs using up.
Then it was getting stuck into my huge backlog of emails -- most of which were surveys, and being glad I was fully back online.
Oh, and cleaning up the glass pyrex dish that I dropped on the floor which smashed, glass and the ingredients for a curry I was about to start cooking, going everywhere. On the bright side, the inside of the oven and the floor are now very clean.
