Okay, that's it. Sims2 is just...arghhh. Corey and I have played a lot while he's been off and played today. We downloaded a new object from Maxis which was a pair of giant scissors. They said you'd get fun points if you ran with them, but that's all, no mention of you know, death. So we got them, installed them, Justin picked them up, had a wonderful time running like a loon, tripped and killed himself. He was gone in seconds, a snap of the fingers and the grim reaper was there. Okay, I should have known, I admit it. It was named running with scissors, what did I think was going to happen? Poor Justin, killed with the points of giant scissors in his chest, what a way to go. But that's not the best bit. Oh no, it gets better. As the family was wailing over Justin's urn Chris had his baby and promptly died because he'd been sick and wasn't strong enough to survive the birth. As the grim reaper cackled and walked across the room I clicked on JC to plead for Chris' life, but did he? No he did not! He calmly walked away to get something to eat, the callous swine. At which point I quit out of the game without saving, because no.

Moving on. I've been trying to sort out my computer the last few nights. It's crawling sometimes lately, especially when I'm trying to download. My download speeds are excellent still but it takes an age to actually get the download to work and even then a lot of the time it'll freeze my browser.. I'm thinking it may be due to the lack of memory thing because I checked for viruses and spyware multiple times and am clear. I really need to get some stuff burned to disc or buy more memory. Of course the burning to disc is a problem in that I haven't got a clue what I'm doing. I have nero but making it work is another thing. I may have to go the tech help route soon because it's driving me crazy. The cat stepping on my keyboard and deleting a load of mails doesn't help that crazy feeling either. Out of all the keys she had to hit the delete key *g*

But now I think I'll go and wonder again if I should comment to my own story at [livejournal.com profile] sentinelsecrets, who knew it would be such a hard decision?

This is me not laughing and completely losing it at the description of your Sims. Nope. :)

Oh, that's hilarious! And not too different from how I imagine your SIMS real-life counterparts might deal with such circumstances. Hee.

*tries hard not to laugh*

*fails rather miserably*

Running with scissors...dying in childbirth...and callous swine!JC...this is too funny. Too bad there are no screengrabs. *eg*

I think the best death I ever had on the game was when Bill Clinton died. There was some kind of bug in the game that caused Bill to not be able to move, and no one could interact with him. He couldn't eat or anything. He would pee himself, sleep on the floor, and starve. He eventually keeled over right in the NSYNC house. The guys mourned HARD for him, too. Every time I went upstairs, one of them was crying at his urn.

Ow. Now I know why I stick to Sims 1 with its hard-to-kill characters. One is bad enough, but two at once? And shame on JC for not even trying to save Chris!

[identity profile] iconis.livejournal.com 2005-04-06 11:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Crazy stuffy nose from allergies + snortlaughing = not pretty and very painful. Ow.

Just. Ahahahaha. Oh, JC. I'm so disappointed in him. ;)

[identity profile] trickyjazzer.livejournal.com 2005-04-07 12:28 am (UTC)(link)
Poor Justin! And then Chris!
JC's a big meanie!

[identity profile] jaciesplace.livejournal.com 2005-04-07 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
I love your Sims! ;)

[identity profile] autumnyte.livejournal.com 2005-04-07 02:55 am (UTC)(link)
Hee!! Your Sims are the best.

I'm sure JC was grieving...on the inside.

[identity profile] dazzlingstar.livejournal.com 2005-04-07 05:19 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I saw that happened by reading a post in one of the sims communities. :-\ Good thing you didn't save. Poor Chris and Justin. Tsk, tsk to JC.

*tries not to snicker*

Oh god. I think you just broke me. And possibly woke my mother by means of my laughing aloud.

I think Maxis are my new heroes for the running with scissors thing. That's just brilliant. Mothers all around the world are busy saying "I told you so" to their children as we speak!

And JC? Well, what do you expect? *G*
