Yeah I've been reading about that scary weirdo that threatened to fist and kill someone in LOTRips. That is scary, and that group take themselves so seriously. It goes beyond fandom to a frightening level of fanaticism.

There are some scary people in TS. *Not* on the lists that I'm on I have to say, I've been treated with nothing but kindness and respect by them. There's just one person that really gets my back up. But even then that's nothing to what's happening in LOTR fandom. That's left such a nasty taste in my mouth. Then I was reading how Lanning was treated by Highlander fans, there's no need for it at all. I love fandom mostly, but sometimes it's a dark scary place.
