oh, terri. this is so tactile, so immediate and still so fused with everything that's come before, everything that comes after.
i love this line especially:
Except Gerard got there first and Mikey’s nothing but a spectator now.
because being gerard's little brother would be hard for anybody, even back then. maybe moreso back then than ever. ♥
