Thank you to everyone who posted such lovely things on the 'things I like about you' post. I was feeling a little blah last night so every comment was much appreciated. It was so cool to see people who I've known for years alongside new friends. I'm so lucky in the people I'm surrounded with, and I hope you all know how much I appreciate that.

And that's all I've got. So tell me flist of mine. What are you writing right now? Reading? Drawing? Doing? Anything fun?

I just got home from a trip to Sussex to see my grandad, during which there was the endless hilarity of a 67 year old and a 96 year old trying to work out why a mobile phone had stopped working. I sat back and giggled for about ten minutes before stepping in. *g* Now I'm home I'm going to beta the fic that in my inbox and then write fic of my own. huzzah.

Just the thought of my nanna with a mobile makes me laugh. She rocks but even the video baffles her.

The phone thing was sitcom-like in its hilarity. I could have watched them for hours, but that would have been cruel! My uncle gave the phone to my grandad for 'emergencies' about four years ago and all he uses it for is to call taxis when he's been out and about in Brighton at a RAFA do or a meeting of the cactus society (don't ask!) he's the chairman of - which is fine, except that a) he didn't realise he needed to put credit on it and b) he uses it so rarely that the network he was on obviously decided he didn't use it at all and disconnected him. Which is what it turns out was the problem. LOL. (So we took a trip to Haywards Heath and I marched him into the Orange store and got him set up with a new sim card, topped up his phone and then, when we got back to his house, found the nearest top up place and showed him how that works. With a lot of help from the shopkeeper who, luckily, knows him and has promised to help him out when he needs it.)

Woo, I'm rambly today.

Fic - the fic I am betaing is a Lost fic so you probably wouldn't be interested anyway. The fic I am writing is the result of the other fics I am working on refusing to write themselves, thus my brain went to it's default setting and said 'hey, let's write Ryan/Jon'. So I am. In a vague turning into GSF kind of a way. *hands*
