I'm always down with stuff like this. Taken from [livejournal.com profile] ceci2176

The Post of Love, and Nothing But Meme: I am making this an official meme, because El-Jay needs a collective Happy. Now post to your journal, the things that make you happy and do not cut it, because why should we cut the good things when we don't cut the bad? A list, an essay, a picspam, a music spam, a video spam, I don't care, just make it HAPPY. And encourage your f'list to follow suit. Happy on, f'list!

[livejournal.com profile] harriet_vane posted Kidfic! For the people who follow my recs but aren't in the fandom, this is an amazing and universe where Mikey and Gerard and kids who get adopted by Brian. Don't be put off by the kid thing, because these stories are fantastic, and also very long. So I have that to finish reading later.

I have the best friends who randomly offer to send me the most fantastic things, because they're just that awesome.

I woke up this morning and the sun was streaming into my bedroom and when I walked downstairs Milo was sunbathing in a patch of light in Corey's room, then both Freesia and Tinker came for a hug when I sat down. ( my cats if you don't know )

I've been watching Gossip Girl this morning, and am about to download my shows from fab people who go out of their way to share. *smooches B*

The final chapter of that Panic story has been posted!

Kerrang are showing the top ten Lost Prophets songs right now.

Corey is so excited about going away on Friday. Every morning the first thing he says is how many days are left to go.

My brother sent me a video text of my baby nephew laughing. It's the best sound ever.

It's payday soon which means I can actually pay to get my user pics back.

I have a disgraceful amount of tabs to read and emails that are still unsent, and while you could say that's a negative it really means I have fantastic stuff waiting to be read and good friends who want to talk to me.

It's James' day off so we can go get the grocery shopping, which yeah, not fun, but it also means a drive along the coast in the sunshine and stopping somewhere for lunch.

Talking of which. Corey made tea last night, and yeah, the chips were sort of hard and the chicken covered in strange bread crumb things but he wanted to cook and did so.

Now you. Tell me your happy things.

Kidfic!!!! When I'm done with my flist I'm going to spend the rest of the day reading this!!!! (I'm wondering a little why she keeps calling it "kidfic". I mean, Gerard was 14 and Mikey 11 in the first story and "kidfic" makes me think of preschoolers not young teens.)

Kitties!!! *gazes fondly at Lancecat who's snoozing in my reading chair*

Corey making tea and being excited to go abroad! Your kidlet is growing up, Terri :-)

What makes me happy? Anticipating reading the kidfic. An adorable snoozing Lancecat. Reccing popslash AUs for [livejournal.com profile] polyfandomrecs. New saucepans thanks to a successful trip to IKEA in Kalmar yesterday.

I'm so looking forward to settling down with that story. Sadly I need to do other things first, but soon. Soon I shall read! As for the kidfic title, I guess because technically they are kids, especially at the beginning. Though it didn't take Gee long to be a stroppy teen *g*

My kidlet is very much growing up. I don't know where the time goes.

Those are fantastic happy things!

Just wait, MIKEY's become a stroppy teen too in this story :-)

*jumps threads AGAIN* (I apologize)

I refer to it as "kidfic" because people have a tendency to call it "The kidfic." (As if it is the only one, ever.) It's just.... How people refer to it. Like MikeyWay is almost never just Mikey, I guess. I totally sat down and thought about calling it the no-longer-kids fic, but that seemed unwieldy. *sigh*

Oh hey, there's no need to apologise. I never mind people talking in my journal :)

I would totally have approved calling it The No-Longer-Kids Fic :-) But then I'm the kind of person who's automatically wary of anything labeled "kidfic" - which explains why I want to quibble with people who call Forever, Now one, I guess.
