Well! Spencer Smith's grandmother is ill and needs to be put in a nursing home (senility maybe?). The one his parents decide on, just happens to be the same one Spencer Reid's mother is in. Reid is in town visiting his mother, she forgets him again and he gets a little upset, so he is leaving the building in a rush and not looking where he is going and slams right into Spencer Smith. Spencer gets a grip on Reid, preventing him from falling over as Reid apologies profusely.

When their eyes finally lock, there is a spark.
