That's too sad that you didn't get to meet up with Arsenic. You definitely need to read lots of nice stories to make up for it.

I didn't know chives where easy to grow, no one here grows them. At least not anyone I've ever heard of. Maybe they need a warmer climate than ours. Strike that! I just realised that instead of "chives" I'd subconciously read "leeks". Chives everyone grows of course but you almost always buy a plant or get one from a friend. I've never tried growing them from seeds.
