As it still hasn't stopped snowing Corey's school was closed today, which he was very happy about.

But I wasn't happy when we went to pick up nanna to take her to the doctors and realised that there was no way our car was going to get off the estate. Snow measured in feet and an untouched road meant we got as far as the corner and had to turn back. Or more accurately, spin back, where the car got abandoned away from it's usual parking spot. So nanna cancelled her appointment and I hit the shops with James on foot. Which wasn't that bad at all, the snow is deep but looked pretty and I was all wrapped up, except for my feet which were freezing. But, what's annoying is a parcel got delivered on Friday and we weren't in. So, clutching the card today I went to the post office, only to be told my parcel had been left in the mail holder on my estate, and the post vans couldn't get up the hill to pick it up so redelivery or pick up could be arranged. So my parcel is right there but I can't get to it. Goodness knows when the vans will be able to get up either.

I am the most complain-ey, I know this.

I'm still very much on a Frank/Mikey kick, though even though some of you are enablers, I won't be pushing my WIPs aside and starting something new at this point. Especially as those WIPs are coming on nicely. Mainly due to mini_nano I've managed to get my 300 words at least in every day this month, even though sometimes it was a struggle, and I'm happy it looks like I'm going to finish the month on a satisfied note.

Man, now it's thundering and lightening while snowing. The hell weather?

Okay, plan for the evening includes coffee and a recently posted fic that may be very relevant to my interests.

That's too bad, both about you not getting out with your car and the post having left YOUR PARCEL in such a stupid spot!

(It snowed all day yesterday here, but today it was gloriously sunny. So while the wind was biting and the roads slippery even after having been plowed, we still went for a walk because it was just too beautiful to stay indoors.)

But, snow makes everything worse, imho. Shoveling and shut inside, it all sucks.

You did so well this month. I'm lucky if I wrote half the days, although I just wrote today- 700 words on my Due South Secret Santa. I feel virtuous now. *G*

i wish we had more snow up here in lancaster. we do have a lot in austria right now, my dad sent me pictures *pouts* although i have the feeling the people up here are entirely unprepared for it...

lol nothing changes when you get older, I was desperately hoping for enough snow to have a legitimate excuse to not go into uni today. We've not had that much snow yet though, I think I'm on the wrong side of the north. :(

I know how you feel! I've got to work okay, but we're supposed to get more snow later in the week and I'm worrried about getting Mum to a hospital appointment on Friday - can't be postponed! Hopefully we'll be okay.... am crossing fingers and toes!

I hope you get your parcel soon. Sounds like me and my CD, which took nearly a week to arrive after posting! So near and yet so far...

We still haven't had any snow here, well except for the pathetic couple of flakes that fell this morning, but it's supposed to snow heavily overnight. i'm not gonna lie, I'm kind of hoping for a snow day, so if you want to send some of yours down my way I will be more than happy to take it off your hands.

I hate cold, but I'm so jealous of all the people who get snow. I've never ever seen snow IRL.

Re: Frank/Mikey, I just don't understand why there aren't ten million fics about them living together. Come on people, it's CANON! I also like Frank/Mikey friendship fics, and especially h/c fics, but strangely, I'd like a fic in which Mikey is the one who gives comfort to Frank, not the other way around.

and dude lightening and thundering during a snow storm is actually kind of nifty....I've only seen it happen once and boy was it pretty and weird and cool(to me:D)

See, I thought I was tapped out on Frank/Mikey for awhile after writing my 37k high school fic. (and also making reference to it in the Pete/Ashlee/Patrick, Pete/Patrick/Mikey companion fic) But then today I was reading anon_lovefest and someone wanted queercore MCR any pairing and this MASSIVE FUCKING THING came into my head with Frank/Mikey and it's going to be too long for anon, I'll have to post it in my own journal again. *cries* I wrote 37k of you, damn it pairing, that should be more than enough. I call shenanigans on my own brain.

Also, sorry to hear that your weather is doing horribly. The british girl i'm talking to right now is all \o/ calling in 'trapped in the house' for work, and thus I have given her danger days and we are having an internet listening party. It's lovely.
