As always
dine gets the first Christmas card to arrive award. Thank you so much, your hot guy cards always brighten up my card display ♥ I've also got a very lovely cards from
romanticalgirl and
lemniciate Thank you both ♥
I went out and bought copies of Rocksound magazine yesterday. ( Turlough, something very strange happened, when I looked at the sticker sheet the Mikey one was missing! ) The photoshoot is amazing, they get to be superheroes, My Chem superheroes, seriously, how can that not be amazing? Also, the poster is gorgeous, though sadly I now have a dilemma about what side to display, the promo shoot side or the art side. I know, my life, so hard. Also, the behind the scenes pictures are amazing too. You can't tell me they weren't having a blast doing that.
I don't think I mentioned but James had a minor bump in our car last weekend so we have a hire car right now while ours gets its wing-mirror fixed. He had to take the SiL to court today and all I got were phone calls about how the hire car is a hair-dryer on wheels -- our usual car is a people carrier, so the difference is very apparent. Then our tumbler stopped working, again, I swear, we have the worst luck with those damn things. So that plus the insurance excess we had to pull out means money is coming in with one hand and out with the other.
And ha, now it's the next day. I've been writing this post for three days now. We've been to see Voyage of the Dawn Treader today so I got to try out the hair-dryer on wheels myself, and yeah, it's small, and when Kayleigh got a lift she said it looked like we were driving in a turquoise rollerskate. But hey, it's got wheels and an engine, it'll do until we get ours back. We're also getting Kayleigh's tumbledryer that she has in storage at mam's, so that's a good thing too.
Also,
Our tree in all it's sparkly glory, also, bags of gifts ready to be wrapped.

Mainly pictured to show the lamp shades we picked. Also the garland Corey put up, having a six foot plus kidlet is a plus at times like that. He also put up all the snowflakes.

The carpet we picked, which is so much nicer than the old one. We want a new fire eventually as that one doesn't actually work, but that's something for the January sales maybe. Also, James' card making supplies.

We had to move the stockings this year as we didn't want to put pins or nails in the new plaster. Also, nearly a full house of pets.

A close up of the stockings.

Now, pet parade. Pansy on the left and Freesia on the right.

Tinker.

Tex my old man.

A very unfortunate picture of Milo.

While this one wasn't taken tonight it does show how big he is.

And where I am now. My horribly messy desk.

glad to know I'm upholding tradition by getting my cards out ridiculously early. *g*

You can always turn it around regularly - one side to the front for a month and then the other!
Your new living room is looking very spiffy! And sparkly too! I particularly like the laser-eyed cat ornaments ;-D Wheee, your cats have fish shaped stockings! I don't think your desk looks very messy.

This has nothing to do with anything but I most definitely approve of your mug choice. Starbucks is the way to go!

Can you tell me how the poster came in Rocksound? I was looking at the mags in Smiths today and I found the stickers, but couldn't see the poster in any of the 3 copies they had there. Is it stapled in, or loose? I didn't dare buy it without finding the poster and want to go chase it on Monday!

Also fun? Seeing all of your pets. Milo is indeed very huge! My fave type of cat. And the tabby's stripes are so nifty, what unique patterns. Big squishy hugs and ear skritches to all the pets.
