Right now I've over 7k into the Mikey/Pete

help_haiti story and nowhere near finished. How does this happen?

The WIP meme is going around again and I've seen people with long lists of stories they're working on. That always gives me awe because I'm usually working on one only, except right now I'm working on two. My bandom WIPs, let me show you them.

"Mikey Way." It's no surprise that Pete's waiting. He's sitting on the grass, legs crossed and holding a Popsicle that's melting over his hand. There's a cup of coffee at his side -- coffee in a real mug, one with flowers on the side. Pete grins and holds the Popsicle toward Mikey. "I brought you breakfast."

Mikey jumps down the last step, squinting a little in spite of his oversized sunglasses. Despite being so early it's already hot and the grass is brittle under Mikey's feet as he makes his way to Pete. Lowering himself down Mikey mimics Pete's pose, their knees touching as he takes the Popsicle, sucking off the drips before biting off the end and giving it back to Pete. "Thank you."

Pete grins, says, "Cheater. You're not supposed to bite."

And from the slowest fic to be written ever.

One of his mom's favorite stories is how on his first day of pre-school Bob refused to give her a kiss before stalking into the school. Each time she tells the story she adds some embarrassing detail, how Bob was wearing yellow shorts and a cookie monster t-shirt and long socks that wouldn't stay up on his chubby legs. Of course Bob can't remember a thing about that day. What he does remember is his mom's face when she tells the story, how each time she smiles wistfully, her memories preserved and kept sharp.

It's why, despite the drizzling rain and cold breeze, he's standing at the main door of the pre-school right now, his shoulders hunched and hands pushed deep in his pockets as he waits for the first parents to arrive. He knows that for them, this is one of the most important days of their lives.

Talking of Mikey/Pete,

mahoni's started something with her South Park Bobs I posted a very cliched Mikeyway in her comments, then had to go make myself a Pete

This is Mikey and Pete in their house, the one with a black picket fence and many cats and dogs running everywhere.

I want to see the rest of the bandom people, Go make them! or I'll be forced to add them myself and get nothing else done today.

Mikey and Pete sharing a popsicle is inexplicably cute. Also, I love that there is popsicle and coffee. :D

Perhaps it would be good for you to have more WIPs at once, it could encourage you to not write them all so long ;-P

Awww, Mikey and Pete are adorable.

And your WIPs are my happy place. ♥

But...but...there's no sign of blood loss or near-death experiences or angst in either of those snippets. Are you sure they're your WIPs?
