(no subject)

It's been another lovely day today so as soon as James got in for work we headed out. After a stop to deliver the MiLs mother's day card we headed for the beach. It was so lovely there, so many people walking dogs and walking along the prom. There was even a guy who'd stripped to his shorts and gone swimming, though I suspect he was quite mad in the head as it wasn't that warm. We'd taken Tex and he was so happy as he wandered along, he's an old man now, around 17, so he's not as spy as he used to be but he looked so happy as we walked along the pier, his ears flapping in the breeze. We didn't go to the very end of the pier as the fishermen were out in force and I could imagine Tex peeing up one of their tackle boxes, so we turned back toward the car and had a nice stroll back.

Once home James made chicken noodle stir fry which was so delicious. It was packed full of mixed veg, beansprouts, just really tasty food that was also cheap due to being bought just as it was due to go out of date. Hours later I'm still full and am also content because Sky isn't dropping out for once and better yet, no alarm in the morning.

I'm loving the new The Young Veins pictures, Jon looks so different and Ryan's pink capri pants ♥

While on the subject of Ryan and because I have the need to know things, he posted this picture of his sandwich fixings and I want to know what the heck that stuff is. I get the turkey, salt and pepper but the rest? And I know, sad!Terri is sad for wanting to know what Ryan has on his sandwiches. Also, the fact that Ryan is getting a house with a moat and drawbridge delights me! And see, as he and Mikey are total BFFs Mikey will go over and help with the resulting DIY --- They are so BFFs! They swap dog clothes recs and everything! Do not disillusion me!

My Mikey/Pete story has finally gone over 10k, what with one thing or anything writing has been so slow, it's very frustrating. Another 10k and they may actually meet again.

How is it 11 already? I haven't even touched my emails yet, or caught up on LJ. Oh, and as well as the ISP thing Sky had a technical fault at minute 44 of Leverage and of course there are no repeats. I shake my fist at you Sky!

ETA: [livejournal.com profile] delphinapterus wrote Mikey/Ryan fic! I knew they were going to take over the world \o/

ETA2: [livejournal.com profile] saxihighlandck Thank you so much for the vgift! I love it! ♥

Looks like pickles, mayonnaise, some sort of stone ground mustard in the back, and leaf oregano by the salt and pepper. That's...um...a lot going on.

ETA: I'm not entirely sure about the pickles. It's pickled something, but it could be something like jalapenos or something. heh.

Also, loving the pink pants. love them sfm. RyRo will get back in my good graces soon.

that does sound like a lovely day! i can't imagine anyone swimming in march but that's just because i live in a fucking winter wonderland.

i sympathize with you on the slow writing progress, plot-wise my bbb is progressing so slowly i feel like it'll never get finished!

The 2nd picture has a wonderful vintage feel to it! And it looks like pickled pepper rings for the sandwhich. I love those.

Swimming??!! In March??!!! You Englishmen are indeed all mad!! Though the rest of your day sounds marvelous. I envy you living so close to the beach so much!

Your dinner sounds delicious. You've now managed to make me hungry again and it's really far too late at night to be eating. You really are evil ;-P

You really seem to be stuck in the long format when you write fic these days. I'm keeping my fingers crossed your writing pace will pick up.

I'm going to go with guessing it's peppers/pickles of some kind, mayo, grey poupon mustard, and oregano. Which...is a lot of flavours for one tiny sandwich!

The new TYVs pics are such a source of joy! I wonder if all the new boys are jealous of Jon's ability to withstand Ryan's 'fashion' choices, it looks like none of them have learned to say no to him yet :D

It is my firm belief that while everyone else that Ryan told about his wanting to buy a house with a moat and a drawbridge rolled their eyes and made the 'I'm humouring you' face, Mikey was super encouraging and even offered to help with the fixing up. Mikey's face when Ryan first told him about it looked like this -> :DDD (except of course being Mikey it actually looked like this -> :| but Ryan can tell the difference between Mikey's normal :| face and his excited :| face).

It was pouring rain and cold today and I had the heat on in my car and drove past a guy walking in shorts, and I knew he was nuts because although it's been a mild winter, spring isn't even until next weekend! (Also I am convinced we are going to get another blizzard before May.)

The jar that says "Mezzetta's is "Golden Pepperocini" which oddly enough I have a jar of them in our fridge as both of the parents love them. According to wiki they are -- Pepperoncini are a variety of the species Capsicum annuum, like bell peppers and chili peppers. They are also known as Tuscan peppers, sweet Italian peppers and golden Greek peppers. While called pepperoncini in American English, in Italy these particular kind of peppers are called friggitello (plural friggitelli) or more generally peperone (plural peperoni) like other sweet varieties of peppers, while the term pepperoncini (singular pepperoncino) is used for hotter varieties of chili peppers.

The rest looks like mayo and grey poupon mustard, oregano, salt/pepper.

Sounds like you had a lovely day. I'm glad. *hugs*

Tex is 17??? WOW! I'm picturing that his tail was doing that sweet elderly dog swinging; a little low, a lotta happy. :)

What a wonderful day for wandering on the beach :D - Sc and I took off to Colchester to take random photos and generally wander about with history and spring.
