I was talking to Kayleigh earlier and she said her b12 was due and it got me to thinking mine should be due soon too. As I get the injections three monthly I use text message reminders and the app from my doctor's to remind me but had nothing. Getting in touch with the doctor's it turns out I was supposed to have been there four days ago, which, sigh. Thankfully they're not mad and have made me another appointment, but really phone, you had to act up now?

Telling Kayleigh after she was saying how she feels like a dead frog, and yeah, I get the feeling. I need my three monthly energy boost too. It doesn't help that I've also got a minor head cold atm and James is on the last day of four late shifts. I'm not a natural night owl at all and these 3 am bedtimes are about 5 hours too late for me.

To the surprise of no one I'm sure, my brother didn't manage to book a holiday. I mean, who would have thought that flights to popular holiday destinations in the school holidays would be full? Apparently not him. So they're off on holiday at the end of the month instead, so maybe sib dinner can happen next week. Hopefully on a day when I don't look like Rudolph's tired and washed out sister.

I've been catching up on some tv and finished the latest season of The Flash yesterday, and am now working my way through Legends of Tomorrow. I'll be watching more of that later, and more new Queer Eye as I've been rationing the new eps. Though fell asleep during the one I was watching last night which wasn't on at all.

I follow all of the Queer Eye five on Insta and JVN and Antoni have been teasing they're in a relationship, up to and including creating an insta account with their smush name. All of them are very touchy-feely -- the fact they hold hands so often delights me because hello fab five, indulge my hand holding kink always, please -- so it's not really a stretch to understand why people think it could be more. I just feel for those people who're so invested in wanting it to be real despite them posting that they're nothing more than very good friends having a joke.

And on the topic of insta, I posted some photos of my garden the other day and how it's getting taken over by plants. When I sit in my rocking chair I'm surrounded by greenery on all sides, which is kind of cool. But, already the courgettes are starting to mount up.

The plants in the garden are going crazy.

I was counting last week and I have over 20 courgette and over 20 tomato plants, and a cucumber plant that's growing like mad, too. Add in the flowers and that's a lot of green.

It's good that they've let me reschedule as they could have been arsey about me missing the appointment. But, I've got too used to getting a text message two days before to remind me so when that didn't come it slipped my mind.

Me either. Maybe a couple or single traveller could get a last-minute thing, but not a family of four. He'll just have to wait a few more weeks I suppose.

The Flash is a lot of fun, and I'm enjoying how they use all the characters. I was surprised at what happened at the end of this season, but won't spoil.

There is! Every July one of the movie channels play Christmas in summer, and for some reason, they're still on today. I think they're great background noise when I'm pottering around.

My garden is ridiculous. I had to move a load of plants last week as I had them on both sides of the path and getting down it was like going into a forest.

Oh I agree. They just finished season 3 on pick so they’re starting 3 of Supergirl and 4 of The Flash on Monday. (Oddly they did a rerun of Supergirl season 2 as well..l but didn’t okay the finale which is odd)

They are sweet peas! I planted them in the giant cone this year and they're doing really well. They smell gorgeous when you come outside.

It's like the stuff we saw in Bandom only 10x more intense. I'm seeing something similar with another celeb* and, though it'd be neat if the ship was real, I'm half-cringing at how totes delusional some of the celeb's fans can be.

Part of my discomfort is the fetishization of M/M relationships that some ppl reeeeeeally get into.

I agree, especially your point about how it is 10x more intense. JVN and Antoni are the only two out of the five single atm, and seem very close so them being actually together would be nice to see, but at the same time, I'm also enjoying watching them have their joke with the smush name account and comments alluding to their relationship, fake or not.

It's the ones that take it too far that make me cringe. Some of the insta comments have been melodramatic to the extreme and make for uncomfortable reading.

I really need to stop reading Insta comments, I should know better by now. Along with the relationship tinhats there always seems to be a group of people asking if Tan and Bobby's husbands or Karamo's fiance is okay with them cuddling, holding hands and showing affection to other men.

And I like that you are being circumspect about that celeb. More people should do the same, for everyone that hasn't officially confirmed stuff.

I have to admit that IG is the one platform that I've sort of gotten extremely casual about. The combination of no linear timeline + not being able to talk the way I do on other platforms have lessened my enthusiasm for it.

Well, I think that sometimes things have to give because it's impossible to give attention to every platform and actually live your life at the same time.

I like Insta because it's easy for me to scroll and like. But in my case my account is a mixture of celebs I like, family, friends and fannish friends so I never actually communicate in detail.

For me it'll always prefer DW to actually talk to people and Insta is for pretty pictures.

Which is a long-winded way of saying, I don't think you need to put effort in if it's not something you're actually missing.
