Just managing to sneak a post in before midnight again. Had a busy day today, this time decorating mam's tree. She wasn't going to put it up but I told her no way was I going for Christmas if she didn't decorate. I fully respect peoples right not to decorate but the fact is for me Christmas decorations are important. She actually said that she liked having the tree up but didn't like doing it, so I did. I do have to admit though that I really want a day where I'm not decorating something. It seems to be all I've done lately.
I've also been writing, wrestling the end of my SeSa into submission. I've had two scenes to finish it since Friday and they just weren't coming. Today I did one of them, so one more to go and draft one is done. Then themasochists lovely people that are helping me will read, pull it apart and make it better.
Mam also came down tonight. She'd been out and was 'merry' going on and on about how shocked she was I wasn't online, then when I told her that I was watching MX she said she's talk over it, and did. She also said that when she comes to stay in Jan when her house is being refitted she's going to put her foot down and there'll be no computer or TV while she's here. At which point I told her that this is my house and if she wants to come here she'll have to live the way *my* family do. Which was quite liberating I must say. I'm really not looking forward to Jan. The council will be in her house for at least 3 weeks and Kayleigh and mam will be coming down here all the time. Which is fine, I don't expect them to live in what will be a building site, but if they come down they'll have to fit in with us and not vice versa. Unfortunately that's easier said than done.
So I'd post about the MX ep but I missed most of it. I did see Brennan sniffing the towel that Shal was using and ship being pushed really strongly which is just wrong. I just hope I got the towel sniffing out of context, because, man I could do without Bren/Shal ship.
Oh, one last thing. The alternate e-mail account I set up. It's not working. Anyone surprised at that stick up your hand...yeah, I thought so.

You GO, Girl! Liberate thine-self!
Don't make a big deal out of anything, just do what you usually do. When your mom starts to say something, just calmly interrupt her and say: "Mam, I told you, this is my house and you are my guest here. I'm not changing my life to fit youra while you're here, and I don't expect you to change yours, either. I DO however, expect you to respect that this IS my home, and my family and I are free to live how we see fit in it. Whether you're my parent or not, you have no right to suggest otherwise, and we won't be listening to it."
Then go back to what you're doing, and simply repeat yourself if she tries to say anything else. She'll get it sooner or later, or even if she doesn't, she'll at least get that her complaining won't do her any good, so she should knock that off, at least.

P.S.: Which MX ep was that? I don't remember that, but I'm probably just blocking it out; there's been a LOT of ship-pushing this season... *sigh*
And which email isn't working? Turps33@bt? 'Cause that's where I've been sending to, now I'm all paranoid you're not getting my mail, AGAIN...
*beats BT with a dead trout...*
I got yours FROM that one on Nov. 30th...
*worries, hopes it all works soon...*

BT's being okay for once( at least I think so ) the mail that's failed is the one I set up as a popmail. I got your last mails fine...oh wait does that mean you didn't get the pics that I sent?

Good advice from you too. I tend to let things go until she pushes too far at which point things descend into screaming matches. So I think this calmly talking thing will be good.

*backs away in horror* eeeep!

You go girl! Parents sometimes need to be reminded that they can't control you all the time - example:
me: "mom, you can't smoke in here" (in my studio)
mom: "I'm helping you paying the rent, I say I can smoke"
me: "I'm the one living here. Balcony."
*sighs* I hate smokers who can't respect the fact that smoke makes me sick.
Looking forward to January, aren't you? [/sarcasm]

You've every right not to allow smoking in your studio, the same way I can watch tv and surf as much as I like in mine.
I'm really dreading January, fun times will be had by all :(

Wow, the woman has some nerves! In a way, this is pretty brave of her to actually dare say something like that! I mean, putting her foot down to tell you how to behave in *your* house? A house where she would actually be a guest? Wow, this would be quite laughable if it wasn't a tad annoying.
