James' COVID antibody blood test actually went very well. We drove to a dedicated testing place in a local hospital and I waited in the car while he went in. Everyone had to wear masks and he said everything was efficient and calm inside. While James' arms are fixed at the elbows they do move so one of the nurses decided to try gently tugging at his arm a little to gain better access, which worked nicely it seems. It did mean it was a two-person job, but something to remember for any future blood tests. Then, not twenty minutes after leaving he got a text saying no COVID antibodies had been detected, so he hasn't had it. Not that we ever thought he had, which is why I remain a little unsure about why they're testing everyone at his work. I'm assuming for data reasons as even if he did have antibodies it wouldn't mean immunity.

Sadly we didn't get to see Corey afterwards as we were in and out so fast it was too early for him to be up. We did have a good talk yesterday though. Despite the pubs reopening next week he's still furloughed due to his place being a nightclub, which haven't been allowed to reopen. With good reason really, while it's possible to be strict with table bookings and table service at pubs, nightclubs are a different beast. Sadly some of Corey's friends have been made redundant, but so far he's okay. So, fingers crossed I guess.

James sold another two boxes today. He started doing wood burning a few months ago and I think he's getting pretty good at it. I love the unicorn especially. You can see the two he sold behind

People will know how much I like going to Company Shop for groceries. We were yesterday and one of the featured bargains was 7.5 kg of veggie burgers for £2:50. Though it actually went through the till for £1 which was even better. The problem is, I never really took in just how many veggie burgers you'd get for 7.5kg in weight. Let's just say it's a lot and considering my freezer was full anyway, a lot of rearranging, swearing and wanting to kick doors went on as I attempted to prise everything in.

I finished watching The Witcher and very much enjoyed it. Fic reading still hasn't happened but it will I'm sure. It was one of the things I was talking to Corey about and he was telling me how Henry Cavill did his own stunts, which is impressive. Corey also said again I should watch Preacher next so I guess I need to push that up the to-watch list of doom.

Reading wise I'm still on a Musketeer kick, but remain impatient that the dragon AU series isn't being magically written faster. I enjoy it so much and eagerly refresh daily just in case a new chapter has been posted early. I did think I'd found another writer who I'd enjoy just as much, and I did in that they wrote what I want to read. But all the delicious h/c comes along with crying. Every single story there's crying and a lot of it. I have no issue with tears, but not every story, every chapter, every damn thing that happens.

Also, it's weird being on the outskirts of the Winterhawk fandom because it's obviously centralised in a place I don't go because a lot of writers I follow have posted remixes today so a challenge must have gone live. Which is great in terms of reading, but strange that I see none of the build up. Oh well, it just means lots of glorious fic for me to enjoy.

very quick test results! that's impressive

those boxes look great - James is doing really nice work

I'm amazed at your freezer tetris skills - that's a LOT of burgers to fit in an already full freezer

Ahahahaha omg that's alot "" of veggie burgers. :D: (You can probably also chop them up and use them in salads/tacos/casseroles if you get tired of burgers!)

Wow, the boxes are amazing! So detailed!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for Corey!

Wow, these boxes are fabulous! James has a real talent for this!

Seven and a half KILOS?! That is indeed a lot of veggie burgers to try to squeez into an already full freezer. You obviously have to eat faster :-)

I always subscribe to WIPs on AO3. It saves me so much pointless refreshing. I'm not a big fan of h/c as you know and if there is something that makes me even LESS of a fan it's lots of crying. You have so much more tolerance than me.

I'm glad James didn't have to suffer through too many pokes. Those boxes are beautiful! I am team unicorn, that's stunning, although the cats are very cute.

Fingers crossed for Corey's job.

And go you for making the most of your freezer space! I hope you get to enjoy knowing you have supplies to last.

And I've had similar experiences seeing fics pop up for exchanges that I didn't realize were happening. Sometimes I try to catch up by following those tumblrs or whatever but then they go inactive and the next year there are different challenges... oh well. At least I get to read the fics.
