It's hard to believe it's December already. Which also means it's James' birthday. With everything still locked down we're celebrating with a take away Thai meal, which he's off to pick up soon and no doubt watching some tv. Other years we've put the tree up on the 1st but it's a bit late for that now. I suspect Murphy is going to be a bit of a nightmare in terms of the decorations, I've already caught him chewing the antlers of my new sparkle deer a few times.
Milo is doing okay and thankfully doesn't have to go to the vets any more. He got his nails clipped on Friday and vet receptionist said they'd given the service as a freebie as we'd been there so often last week. Which applies, but I suspect the main reason is the vet bill considerably more than doubled within a week, just when it was coming under control too. But, it is what it is and he's worth every penny and I'll take any sympathy freebie nail clips.
I thought I was organised this year, sending my cards to Australia well in time. Only for one to be delivered back to me yesterday. It looked like they saw my address on the back and thought that was the postal address, and really, why do you mock my efforts universe?
More catching up tomorrow, I don't know where the time is going considering there's so little to dothe 9828927 Christmas films I've watched don't count

Oh dear!
Have you seen anything any good?

You know what's sad? I couldn't even tell you names of any of the films I've been watching as they all blur together. At least, the ones on the dedicated Christmas channels. I'm going to watch some new ones on Netflix soon and they should hopefully be a bit different.

I'm looking forward to hearing all about Murphy's holiday adventures :-)
So good to hear Milo is doing well! Is Milo like Lancecat when you try to cut his claws? I've been doing it for fifteen years now and he STILL carries on like I'm trying to murder him!
Whut?! What IS the post office doing?!!

I suspect Murphy is going to be a pest with the decorations. He already turns the bathroom light on all the time by playing with the light pull, so ornaments on the tree will be catnip to him.
You'd think people were trying to cut his feet off and not just his claws when Milo gets them clipped. It doesn't hurt him, at least I assume not, just he hates the actual act.
I've had cards returned after going to the wrong address, but this one hadn't even left the country it seems. It literally looks like I posted it, then they sorted it to be delivered back to my house. Pip over on LJ said sometimes the scanning machines pick up addresses on the back as actual delivery addresses, so I guess that's what happened here.

I managed to put up some decorations, but I'm kind of thinking I may not get a tree this year. It is rather a nonessential errand. I hope your deer and other ornaments survive Murphy's enthusiasm!
And continued best wishes for Milo. I'm glad he's done with the vet for now.
That is very unfair of the post office to foil your Australian mailing! I hope it will still have a chance of arriving in time.

At least with our tree being fake it's easy to just get it out of the cupboard and not go and buy one. I'm sure your place will still look cosy and festive without one. As for Murphy, I suspect the sparkle deer herd will be knocked over every morning hen I wake.
I'm so glad Milo is done with the vets. He's just starting to not run away when I approach him again.
The card is back in the post, so fingers crossed this time it gets to where it's supposed to be going/

I'm having a hard time consuming Christmas media this year. I know it's not too early -- I know it! -- but it FEEEEELS that way! I can't seem to wrap my mind around the fact that it's December already!

I must admit that I've been watching Christmas films for well over a month now. They're just so comforting, though unrealistic I know. That is, unless every small town in America comes with a warm comforting diner, excessive amounts of decorations on the streets, soft fluffy snow piled up in pleasing ways and carol singers on every corner ready to sing a background to two hot people falling in love.

Glad to hear Milo is doing better.

I hope James' birthday went well <3

His birthday went as well as it could. I think at this point everyone has experienced the reality of a lockdown birthday.
