I got mail the other day.
Thank you
dine for the first Christmas card of the year, and to
turlough for my latest knitted sparkle deer.
I'm sure nearly everyone knows this, but I have a collection of sparkle deer that come out every Christmas. I also have wonderful friends who indulge my obsession by sending me Sparkle Deer, including Turlough who has sent me a knitted version for many years now. This one is adorable, and while you can't see very well in the photo, is threaded with sparkles which makes it look just perfect.

James also finally got some craft supplies he ordered ages ago and needed for the craft fairs. Not from the postman though, apparently, they'd been delivered to someone on our estate and as that person was taking in so many parcels for Christmas he hadn't looked at the label so only realised weeks later that the box wasn't actually for him. The name and address was right, so why it was delivered to the wrong house I have no idea.
Thank you also to
misbegotten for the paid time ♥
Bodhi came home on Saturday. The doctors had been considering another GA to remove her chin drain but in the end it was done without and as she was tolerating the oral antibiotics she could be discharged. She's doing well now, but will still need to go back for the scan early in the new year.
We put the Christmas tree up yesterday -- and I will share photos when it's completely done as I know certain people, like Turlough, like laughing at how gaudy it is *g*
Some online catch-up time today this morning, and putting empty boxes back upstairs, then James finishes work early and will pick me up so we can go to his back appointment. It's at the private hospital again and is only a review so I'm hoping it'll just be an in-and-out thing.
Thank you

glad you got some mail, but how careless of the carrier to just leave stuff at the wrong place

That is a very good point!
Yeah, I suspect the carrier would have been new due to bringing so many casual staff on to deal with the backlog. But that's no excuse for delivering to the wrong house when the address was right.

I hope Bodhi is okay!

But what makes them extra special is so many have been bought or sent by other people. I always look at them and smile.

How very careless of the mailman to leave James' craft supplies at someone else's house!
I'm glad to hear Bodhi is home again and doing well.
But I laugh with love! It's not really December until I've seen your tree!
I hope the hospital appointment went well!

I have a feeling a lot of new mail people have been brought in to try and deal with the huge backlog of mail in the area. I know some deliveries have been made by people not even in their official uniform. But even if you don't know the area, it was careless to deliver to the wrong house. The man could have kept the parcel and we would have never have known.
You do laugh with love, I know that. I'll put photos up soon.
The hospital appointment went very well, and very fast.

Good news about Bodhi, that must be a relief :)

It was fantastic news about Bodhi. She's going for a review today, so hopefully they'll be happy with her.
