It was an excellent mail day today with a parcel from [personal profile] turlough and a beautiful card from [personal profile] frausorge. Thank you both so much! ♥

I was just talking to James recently about how he'd had coming up to a five-month streak at work with no sick time at all, so of course he's jinxed himself. He had to come home halfway through his shift yesterday, as he'd hurt his hip by just standing, and his leg was spasming. He's had it checked via x-rays when that's happened before and it's nothing that can be fixed, just put up with. So, we're having a lazy day today before going out for the meal later.

I do need to call in the post office before that as I have parcels and cards ready to go. At which point I'll get the pointed look and 'you do realise these may not get there in time?' comment, and yes, yes I do. Though, outward mail has been pretty good recently, so fingers crossed.

I'll miss live watching of Doctor Who tonight, but will catch up tomorrow, as when I get back I'll be watching Strictly and keeping everything crossed that Nikita and Layton get into the final next week. Their training footage looks good, so, fingers crossed again.

Wow, my Turlough package came before yours!

Aw, man! I hope James feels better soon. 5 months is an awesome streak, too!

Good luck to Nikita/Layton make it to the finals!

I hope James feels better soon. I've had muscle spasms and sciatica, so if his pain is anything like that I know it is hellish.

And I hope that you have a lovely dinner tonight! (I'll be thinking of you when we're at ours, even though yours will be long over. *g*)
