The AU seems to have gone down well. I've had some great LoC's, so have been very happy, except for one thing.

I posted to a mailing list, and one of the sibs on there has started a conversation about me leaving the ending hanging so she's going to kill me. I know it's all done in fun, but when there's about three people joking about how evil I am to post an open ended story I just think wtf!

None sent a LoC saying they liked the story, just a series of one liners about how evil it was to stop where I did. Now I don't think I left on a cliff hanger, and even if I did I warned upfront it was part of a series. If they didn't take notice of that it's their problem.

Know what, Sweetie? I had exactly the same reaction as you did when I saw these posts. I know it's for fun, and in a way, it just shows how much they want the next part, I guess, but it kinda got on my nerves as well, I must admit. Guess I'm touchy where my buddies are concerned, right?

Yeah I know. I was sitting reading and thinking 'what the hell are these people on?'

I guess that it does mean that they liked the story, but there's other ways to convey that fact apart from posting about killing me and sharpening knives.

So yeah it got on my nerves too, but thanks for being touchy about me. I luv you for it!

Getting all pissed when their buddies are under 'attack'. Well... they didn't attack you, but you know what I mean *g*
