(no subject)

I was sick yesterday. Alternatively freezing and boiling for most of the day but thankfully I'm good now, so it must have been a nasty 24 hour thing. Today it's snowing like crazy so I'm staying in to catch up on some things and while I'm doing so I'll meme.

Gacked from [livejournal.com profile] nonchop

If you comment here, I will tell you what fic of yours is my favorite, and why

Everyone could do with an ego boost at times so comment away, just let me know where your stuff is because I suck and may not remember without a prompt.

Also, another meme.

1. Comment with a request to see absolutely anything on my computer. My desktop, my documents, my playlist, my bookmarks, my latest Photoshop graphics experiment ... absolutely whatever you are curious about. Request it.
2. I will respond with a screenshot of the very thing you request.
3. In return, you will spread this meme far and wide.

I totally agree.

It's fantastic.

Hee! Thank you! :-) I had so much trouble writing this story, I was frustrated a lot during the process, but I'm so happy that it turned out so good in the end.

Thanks for the screenshot, interesting :-).

Re: Of course I've only read your TS stuff...

I did re read your stories, and I could have chosen a lot of them as my favourite, but if I have to narrow it down I'll go with 'Letter to Blair'

It's such a senses based story, and that's awesome because it fits right in with the theme of the show. There's all these little details, the robin, the coming spring, little things Jim should see but didn't and you explain that so well by saying With my Sentinel vision, I can *see* so much more than you can -- but you *noticed* so much more of life than I ever did That's such a great line and sets the tone for the whole story.

It hurts to read about Jim and Blair being apart, they're meant to be together, and it's wrong that they're not. You write Jim's guilt so well, peeling back his feelings and showing how he's trying to change. I have to admit this story makes me teary at times because of the wrongness of it all. Jim waiting at home as Blair wanders with little money and taking dead end jobs. It really is an emotional piece, not so much a smack in the gut but a slow ache that will only be solved by a reunion. I love it a lot, and love it even more knowing what happens after :)

As for me, thank you. I'm so glad you still like my stories. I still consider myself on the TS side of the fence a little because of Sentinel Thursday. I still have a lot of love for the show and the guys, I think more than anything I became disillusioned, with the fandom, the constant 'the old writers were best' spiel. Not that that's the only reason of course. I love the people in popslash fandom and I really think I've improved a lot as a writer. I guess I should prove that by writing a full length TS story again one day.

I'm just thrilled that you still want me to write them, that's such an ego boost you know, so thank you for that.

Believe me I have enough love for Angel that all the people that don't get it don't matter.

However, I eventually narrowed it down to 'And Every Dog His Day'

Heh. You know, I'm vaguely disturbed that you're the second person to choose that one :-)

I'm really pleased you like it so much. I just went and reread it for the first time in a long time, with your comments in mind, and it made me all warm and fuzzy. Thank you.

You suck man ;)

No, I can remember your stories but I won't be able to quote from them like I've been doing with the others, sorry.

Anyway. I love Mutants and Boybands and Sparkles oh my, that you did for my birthday last year, because man. It's a MX pop cross and do you know how much I love that? Seriously, I love it loads.

Brennan and Chris in one story is enough to make me explode with joy. Then there's the Bass Ass as a weapon, Justin's DNA, Chris and Brennan checking each other out, which is just squee! Space Cowboy bwahahahahaha I love it all!

I can never thank you enough for that story.

Hehehee.

I had a feeling that might be your vote ;D

Thank you. And that screenshot was fine. The working title has me very curious. :)

You've done some really good stuff, honey. I've had a good time reading it.

I couldn't pick for a long time between A Little Gay which is a Choey that I enjoyed a lot, or Galatea, the story I eventually picked.

I hadn't read it before and that's so sad because it's such good Timbertrick. I loved seeing things from Chris' POV and there were several laugh out loud moments, especially including Lance and later the scene with Kelly and the hitting for cursing. You have such snappy dialogue, I'm really quite impressed and you manage to tease the story out well, making me desperate for Chris to just tell Justin already!

Which made the end even better when Justin finally appeared. I love happy endings and this certainly had that. Thanks for pointing me to it :)

As for my latest fic, it's this that I'm doing for the sparklydarkboys comm.

I was going to pick California, because it's such lovely TrickC, but in the end I have to pick Does Anyone Remember Iron Maiden?

I love that story so much. I like how you tied the theme of darkness through the story, using the different dark situations really added a cool unity to the whole story.

I also enjoyed seeing Lance flustered, so many stories have him calm and collected but I imagine if it came to wanting his band mates he could get flustered, especially as he'd wanted Chris for so long and is suddenly faced with having not just him but Justin too. That's a lot for anyone to cope with.

There's parts of the story that had me laughing so much. Lance hitting someone with his club, the scenes at the waxworks and any of Lance's drunken moments especially.

Then of course the sex at the end, which is damn hot! Just whoa"" You've put me in a mood for threesome fic now. You did such a great job on this story and I enjoyed it a whole lot.

I've had a lot of fun reading at your site, simply because I tend to bypass none Chris related stories, but I branched out and am so glad I did because Justin's Inevitable Terrible Revenge is just amazing! I feel kind of shallow when you mentioned the things you liked about my stories when all I can do with your story is flail and try to convey to you just how much I love it!

I adore rimming with an unholy passion, and Justin had JC totally at his mercy and just, gah, lines like this killed me *Score*, he thought gleefully, and settled himself in for a long bout of fun, playing his tongue around, enjoying the feel of JC alternately tensing up and shaking underneath his hands. because the mental image I get from that is so intense I can hardly bear it. I squeed when I read this, a real bloody squee that I had to trap with my hands over my mouth because man, rimming stories kick my kinks hard.

As a general comment, you write really hot stuff. I also like how you use trickyfish a lot because I do like that pairing and you know if Chris can't have JC Lance does just as well. That is unless he gets JC and Justin *drools*

Thanks for asking, I really enjoyed reading at your site.

truth be told, my favourite scene to write was the kelly/chris/joey scene with the hitting. sometimes i feel like kelly gets villainized in fic. so making her funny was... well, fun. i'm a fan of timbertrick, but i'd never really written it before that story.

thank you so much.

oooh, i may need to join that comm. one day. heh.

Before I went to your site I was going to pick Food, because that story has such an emotional gut punch and is so amazingly visual that I'm in awe of it. But as I read at your site I found another story that I think may be my favourite.

It's Crunked, the Alternatives Remix and I've read it a few times since I found it. I really liked the original because superheros are just the coolest things so the universe really attracted me. I often re read the first crunked story so when I saw you'd re mixed it I was so pleased. You did it so well too. Remixing fills me with terror, which is why I would never consider joining the challenge, yet you took a story that I loved and made it better, and that's amazing. I love the new spin you put on it, the dark taint over everything that changes the story so much. Because I think your version is more realistic, getting powers like that must be a total mind fuck which would leave you feeling crazy.

There's this sense of unease through the whole story. JC so uncomfortable in his skin, Lance so insecure, needing things he daren't ask for. Chris so frustrated as his life speeds up, isolating him in the process as all he can do is wait for the others to catch up.

The part where Joey was beaten to death was horrific, but I couldn't stop reading at all, then Justin, man poor Justin. Those end scenes are so powerful. Painful to read yet compelling in their intensity.

I especially like the end and its none happy ending. I'm very impressed I tell you.

Thank you! I loved writing that remix, although Joey's beating and what Justin did made me almost sick doing it. I'm happy you chose this one. That story feels like one of my great achievements.
