I was sick yesterday. Alternatively freezing and boiling for most of the day but thankfully I'm good now, so it must have been a nasty 24 hour thing. Today it's snowing like crazy so I'm staying in to catch up on some things and while I'm doing so I'll meme.

If you comment here, I will tell you what fic of yours is my favorite, and why

Everyone could do with an ego boost at times so comment away, just let me know where your stuff is because I suck and may not remember without a prompt.

Also, another meme.

1. Comment with a request to see absolutely anything on my computer. My desktop, my documents, my playlist, my bookmarks, my latest Photoshop graphics experiment ... absolutely whatever you are curious about. Request it.
2. I will respond with a screenshot of the very thing you request.
3. In return, you will spread this meme far and wide.

I have much love for When the Tick met Mr T.

It's a story that seemed right somehow, some AUs seem unlikely to me and it's a stretch to see the guys in that setting. Your story had no such problems. I loved Joey's shop, I want to go to Joey's shop.

There were details in the story that were understated yet still showed so much, like this JC’s the one with the hair, they work shifts at KX50,” Joey took a breath, “and Mrs. Morrison’s convinced they’re a couple.”

“Really? What makes her so sure?”

“Something about a piggyback and twirling.”

I can see this so easily, I imagine Chris on JC's back as they twirl in place and it's just the most delightful image. And this.

Chris was short. That was the first thing Joey noticed about him. Compared to Joey, he was really short. His black hair spiked up in a million different directions, he had a goatee that appeared to have two…horns, there was a light sheen of sweat across his upper lip and beside his sideburns, his black t-shirt said ‘real live action hero’, and he had an attitude that radiated beyond his size. Joey wanted lick the side of his face and then fuck him senseless.

Man, that's just Chris. If I didn't already I'd want to fuck him senseless myself just from that description.

The plot was lovely and was paced well, you had me so tense at the end thinking that Joey was going to lose the shop, then Chris sold his albums. Man, I had the sniffles then for sure.

I really loved that story a lot.

As for my most recent file. I think you mean my Word files, if not, sorry. This is what I have for the honey challenge so far, pathetic yeah.

You've got no reason to hide.

There was a few I could have picked, I'm thinking of the Rain series especially but I've gone for Caught in a Moment.

I enjoyed the twists and turns of the story, teasing JC made me laugh, he's so obvious, parading himself for Chris. The scene where he stands in his tight white briefs sticks in my mind particulary for some reason ;)

It's such a frustrating story really, when you know that they both want one another yet they're not together and it's just arghhhh. Of course that means the emotional pay off at the end is a good one when JC finally takes control, and oh boy is that hot. Especially lines like this

JC is humping against his hip and Chris thinks he should do something, like jerk JC off in return, but then JC sucks harder on his neck and all thoughts of reciprocating are gone. He hangs on, moaning, gasping, and JC's clever fingers run over his dick, squeezing and massaging.

Just, guh!

I also liked Joey a lot in this, for being in the story for such a short time he has a lot to say, all of which makes a lot of sense.

As for my WIP folder, look below :)

The snow has been insane here, really heavy, then it stops, then really heavy again, so it's a lie, melt, lie cycle over and over.

I'll stroke you any day baby ;)

It was really hard to pick one of your stories because I have great love for them all. However, I eventually narrowed it down to 'And Every Dog His Day'

If anyone had said I'd pick a story about bestiality as one of most favourite ever I would have laughed at them. Okay, strike that, maybe not but still. I often re read the story because it's so good.

the big brown eyes, or the silver earrings still hooped through one slightly ragged ear.

That's Chris right there in dog form, and the fact that JC is so accepting of that just makes me melt, because it's insane yet he's sitting there talking to him while Chris is a dog, and not only a dog but one that keeps a good Chris characterisation too.

There's laugh out loud moments all through the story like Lance and Joey being told and I especially like this

Chris's tufty little eyebrows rose up in points. In the walk-in closet's mirrored door, JC saw himself flushing.

I can so see this, and typical JC to have a collar *g* Then Chris speaks and I just crack up.

There's so many bits I could mention so I'll give you highlights. Justin breaks my heart that first time, when he's in denial then comes down to hug Chris for a long time. I really enjoy Jesse in this, which is a surprise, not that I dislike him, just he's not one of them you know? Then of course there's the dog sex which is so wrong yet so right too, especially this line Chris had always made the same little growls and whimpers. JC really wanted to kiss him, but the simple truth was Chris didn't have lips. And even with the herbal dog toothpaste, his breath was pretty rank

It's the no lips bit that gets me every time *g* Then things get hotter with the actual sex part later which man makes me feel like the biggest pervert ever! Quickly followed by angst that twists my heart with the conversation between first Lance and JC then JC and Chris.

Then finally the end, which is just perfect. I just have much love for the whole story, it's funny, has great dialogue and it's easily one of my favourites ever.

Man, stupid LJ, posting before I was ready. Lets try again.

I really am feeling better, I hate nasty bugs that lay you out for a day but at least they go as soon as they come.

Oh man, how am I supposed to pick just one? I have so much love for your stuff, both pop and original. However, I'll go for a popslash as I know what I'm talking about better with those.

I really do love all of your stuff but I'm going to pick It's the Perfect Dream. It's just got so much that I love, first the TrickC which is always good, but it's nothing as shallow as the pairing, it's that you took what should be an improbably idea and made it work. JC as a puma should be insane, is insane, yet you created a lovely universe that seems real and that's such a great thing.

The friendship between Chris and JC is shown as being solid, and I always like that, because sex is good but I like my guys to have a relationship built on something real, especially as I think they are good friends.

There's parts of the story that still blow me away when I reread, things like this.

Arguing like that left Chris prickly and itchy in his skin, especially when it was JC, who wouldn't fight back like Justin, or just let it wash over him like Joey tended to do. Prickly and itchy and ill at ease, and the closed door seemed to glare at him reproachfully every time he crossed the hallway

Because yes, we've all been there I think.

And this

Sleek and purposeful, heavy yellow eyes catching the dim light and seeing him. Seeing him and slowing and approaching ohh so slowly and Chris's mouth too dry to shape a sound, and his eyes closing in self defence, clinging to the door like a baby with a blankie.

I love how you describe things, you have such a vivid touch and I can really see Chris' terror in the next paragraphs as he realises that JC was telling the truth all along, and you know that knowledge must be terrifying yet the next day all he wants to do is be with JC and help somehow. I also love that first awkward conversation, the touching of the foot and owing of doors are such normal things in an extraordinary situation.

I just love the whole story, it's cool taking that journey with Chris from thinking JC is joking, to terror and disbelief that turns to needing to help within hours. Then risking his life for JC which has to be one of the ultimate acts of love, and shows so much trust.

Then the end is wonderful, with JC accepting himself, playing with the kids in puma form as Chris lounges on Nick. Just perfect.

Of course I've only read your TS stuff...

and you *really* need to write more. Anyway, my favorite of those is "Punch and Pain", because it's a look deep into the emotional reactions of both men. You showed Jim's conflicted push-pull very well, and it ended on a realistic "we'll see what happens" instead of all sweetness and light. (But now you need to write the sequel, so we can get to a better place.)

My stuff is all at CL, of course --
http://www.skeeter63.org/~tslibrary/authors/auth-starwatcher.htm
-- but I kind of hope that you read "Moving Forward" before you decide. It's at CL, but it's also in my LJ (with slightly better formatting).

Anyway, I'd love to see your response. (And maybe, if you have to refresh your memory by scanning a couple of stories, it'll bring you back to the TS side of the fence, hint-hint.)

I did re read your stories, and I could have chosen a lot of them as my favourite, but if I have to narrow it down I'll go with 'Letter to Blair'

It's such a senses based story, and that's awesome because it fits right in with the theme of the show. There's all these little details, the robin, the coming spring, little things Jim should see but didn't and you explain that so well by saying With my Sentinel vision, I can *see* so much more than you can -- but you *noticed* so much more of life than I ever did That's such a great line and sets the tone for the whole story.

It hurts to read about Jim and Blair being apart, they're meant to be together, and it's wrong that they're not. You write Jim's guilt so well, peeling back his feelings and showing how he's trying to change. I have to admit this story makes me teary at times because of the wrongness of it all. Jim waiting at home as Blair wanders with little money and taking dead end jobs. It really is an emotional piece, not so much a smack in the gut but a slow ache that will only be solved by a reunion. I love it a lot, and love it even more knowing what happens after :)

As for me, thank you. I'm so glad you still like my stories. I still consider myself on the TS side of the fence a little because of Sentinel Thursday. I still have a lot of love for the show and the guys, I think more than anything I became disillusioned, with the fandom, the constant 'the old writers were best' spiel. Not that that's the only reason of course. I love the people in popslash fandom and I really think I've improved a lot as a writer. I guess I should prove that by writing a full length TS story again one day.

I'm just thrilled that you still want me to write them, that's such an ego boost you know, so thank you for that.

You've done some really good stuff, honey. I've had a good time reading it.

I couldn't pick for a long time between A Little Gay which is a Choey that I enjoyed a lot, or Galatea, the story I eventually picked.

I hadn't read it before and that's so sad because it's such good Timbertrick. I loved seeing things from Chris' POV and there were several laugh out loud moments, especially including Lance and later the scene with Kelly and the hitting for cursing. You have such snappy dialogue, I'm really quite impressed and you manage to tease the story out well, making me desperate for Chris to just tell Justin already!

Which made the end even better when Justin finally appeared. I love happy endings and this certainly had that. Thanks for pointing me to it :)

I've had a lot of fun reading at your site, simply because I tend to bypass none Chris related stories, but I branched out and am so glad I did because Justin's Inevitable Terrible Revenge is just amazing! I feel kind of shallow when you mentioned the things you liked about my stories when all I can do with your story is flail and try to convey to you just how much I love it!

I adore rimming with an unholy passion, and Justin had JC totally at his mercy and just, gah, lines like this killed me *Score*, he thought gleefully, and settled himself in for a long bout of fun, playing his tongue around, enjoying the feel of JC alternately tensing up and shaking underneath his hands. because the mental image I get from that is so intense I can hardly bear it. I squeed when I read this, a real bloody squee that I had to trap with my hands over my mouth because man, rimming stories kick my kinks hard.

As a general comment, you write really hot stuff. I also like how you use trickyfish a lot because I do like that pairing and you know if Chris can't have JC Lance does just as well. That is unless he gets JC and Justin *drools*

Thanks for asking, I really enjoyed reading at your site.

Before I went to your site I was going to pick Food, because that story has such an emotional gut punch and is so amazingly visual that I'm in awe of it. But as I read at your site I found another story that I think may be my favourite.

It's Crunked, the Alternatives Remix and I've read it a few times since I found it. I really liked the original because superheros are just the coolest things so the universe really attracted me. I often re read the first crunked story so when I saw you'd re mixed it I was so pleased. You did it so well too. Remixing fills me with terror, which is why I would never consider joining the challenge, yet you took a story that I loved and made it better, and that's amazing. I love the new spin you put on it, the dark taint over everything that changes the story so much. Because I think your version is more realistic, getting powers like that must be a total mind fuck which would leave you feeling crazy.

There's this sense of unease through the whole story. JC so uncomfortable in his skin, Lance so insecure, needing things he daren't ask for. Chris so frustrated as his life speeds up, isolating him in the process as all he can do is wait for the others to catch up.

The part where Joey was beaten to death was horrific, but I couldn't stop reading at all, then Justin, man poor Justin. Those end scenes are so powerful. Painful to read yet compelling in their intensity.

I especially like the end and its none happy ending. I'm very impressed I tell you.

Anyway. I love Mutants and Boybands and Sparkles oh my, that you did for my birthday last year, because man. It's a MX pop cross and do you know how much I love that? Seriously, I love it loads.

Brennan and Chris in one story is enough to make me explode with joy. Then there's the Bass Ass as a weapon, Justin's DNA, Chris and Brennan checking each other out, which is just squee! Space Cowboy bwahahahahaha I love it all!

I can never thank you enough for that story.
