turps: (Camp Sparkle! ( turloughishere))
I think every Camp Sparkler who is on my flist is on [personal profile] pensnest 's, but just in case, check out [community profile] campsparkle for some potential Camp plans. Twenty years, man, who can believe it. A lot has gone on since that first weekend away with the other Campers. And so many memories tied to various Camps.

It's another gorgeous day out there today, so I'll be going back into the garden soon. I started a good tidy up yesterday, including a hard prune of the butterfly bush that has grown at an insane rate. I'm very glad I potted it in a huge container and not the ground as I suspect the thing would have taken over the garden completely otherwise. So, today one of the jobs will be cutting up the branches so I can take them to the tip over the weekend. Then, I suspect a first read in the rocking chair while basking in the sun will happen.

Wednesday was a busy one. It was class at 9am, where we talked about gut health. With being allowed to stay in the programme this is about the third time I've heard this talk, but it was still interesting stuff. There were a couple of newbies, which was nice, and the battle ropes were out for the exercise part, and I do like a good bash of the floor.

Oh, and as part of the cool down stretches we always try to touch out heels with our hands while standing, and I always fail by quite a lot. But, I nearly did it on Wednesday! It made me laugh as at one point Rosie noticed and started to urge me on, saying, come on, you're nearly there, while the rest of the class looked on. Which, unlike the badminton people, I didn't mind at all. The regulars in class have been there from the start when I could barely do a thing, so their attention is uplifting.

Then, after class it was on to our one to ones, which I'll cut for talk about weight behind here )

It was about 11:30 when we left the one to one room and I had my B12 appointment at 1:20. Considering the two buildings are so close it was pointless going anywhere else so we had an early lunch at the gym café, then headed for the doctors at 12:30. I was the only person there when I booked in, and I hoped that with it only being an injection that always takes all of a few minutes they'd call me in early. Which is exactly what happened, and I'd barely sat down when I was called in.

Left the doctors to drive to the craft shop where we restocked the coasters, and then went to Greggs to get Bodhi a sausage roll and unicorn cupcake as we were supposed to be picking her up from school. Drove onto Aldi to get some stuff for James' bait, only to get a message from Lucy saying she'd finished work early so we were off the pickup hook. We still went and dropped off the baked goods to Lucy, though.

Which meant we got home earlier than I expected after a day going here, there and everywhere.

And now, I think it's time I went to chop up some branches.
