On the scale of wrongness, getting a text from your mam asking what a rampant rabbit is has to rate way up there.

I hit skip 1000 yesterday, at which point LJ wouldn't let me go back anymore. This tells me (a) I'm too nosy (b) I need to take some of the comms off my default flist view, especially some of the Supernatural ones which have really high post volume. But that skip 1000 held a lot of joyful goodness, posts celebrating the amazing achievement of [livejournal.com profile] nsync_10, Christmas wish lists and card polls, and of course, the best post of all. [livejournal.com profile] pensnest wondering if Lance's legendary dick size is canon or fanon.

I downloaded House, Supernatural and Numb3rs too, patiently, then not so patiently dealing with the computer crashes as they downloaded. The tabs weren't a problem with having session saver installed on Firefox, losing an email was another matter. My fault I know as I should save as I go on, but I just didn't.

I realised this morning that SeSa assignments may be sent while I'm away this weekend, and that just won't do at all. I need to know so I can be consoled by sparkly friends when I'm landed with something insane that makes my head hurt just thinking about it. So, fingers crossed, that e mail will arrive before I go. I've actually just been to the DWNOGA site to check my name is there and joining wasn't a figment of my overactive imagination, and yes, it's there with 108 other names, which is so cool. There's so many names I'm thrilled to see there

argh! wrong! I will happly talk vibes with total strangers, but parents? *shudder*

I'm taking my laptop so as to be able to check my assignment over the weekend [1] - you could always get James to check that you weren't assigned me, and then forward it on?

[1] insert paranoia that it's someone *at* the weekend and I have to make uo a fictional request on the spot and then keep the facade going all month.

Exactly. It's a text I'll conveniently forget about I think.

Problem is James is staying at a relatives house and won't be going home until I do. I think what I'll have to do is go change my web e mail settings so a copy stays there too, then I'll have to pout prettily until someone lets me use their laptop *g*

I totally have that paranoia too. I think I need to think up a cover story now. OH NO! Some person I've never heard of before wants Brian/Justin in drag complete with added sex! WOE! Actually, I should have kept that secret in case I use it ;)

Heh. You know, with five of the people there signed up for DWNOGA, it probably isn't actually bad odds that it will happen to someone.

Heh. I've been hardened against DWNOGA trauma by the shock of opening the mail the first year I took part and finding that I'd been assigned [livejournal.com profile] eponymous. No pressure there, at all.
