Some scum has broken into our car. They've used a garden fork to first try and pry the passenger seat door open, and when that didn't work smashed the driver's window. The car is wrecked, door distorted out of its frame, glass everywhere, the contents strewn around inside. I'm so angry right now, so god damn angry. James is with the police because the fork had been left behind, and there's finger prints everywhere, but what kind of person thinks it's okay to do that?

Violated is the word. I can't even imagine how much it must hurt if your home is broken into, because seeing Corey's books, my CDs, James documents, just thrown around, all covered in glass and mud is bad enough.

(My sister had her car broken into three of four times, and eventually she just didn't bother having the passenger door repaired where they'd banged the lock out with a screwdriver. It's an old Clio no one would want to steal, so she decided it was less hassle to leave it unlocked and let them find out that there's nothing inside without damaging the car. And even after *that*, someone smashed the side window to break in, because they were too rock fucking stupid to notice that the door doesn't even *have* a lock. People are shitty.)

I know how you feel though. They still haven't caught the idiots who broke into my old house and did about $10,000 in damaged to get what probably amounted to $40 in copper. Some people suck. Chances are they were young and/or on some sort of drugs. Who's raising these people? Grrr!

Oh hon, I'm so sorry this happened to you. It has happened to me before and it make you feel so violated and like the police can do nothing. To me, the damage to the car was worse than anything they stole and now we don't leave anything, not even trash in our cars.

I hope you have a good resolution with the police and the insurance company.

I certainly hope repairs don't take too much time, effort, or money, and that the police catch the ass who did it. Even if they don't, I hope their karma bites them in the ass so damn hard they shit teeth for a week. At LEAST. They deserve it.
