I've updated my site a little today. Most importantly getting the Awesome April stories links up to date and creating a link for both that and the Sparkly Glee challenge from the index page. As of now there have been 62,383 words of pop stories posted this month for the April Challenge. I'd love to think we'd hit the magic 100,000 mark but somehow I don't think it'll happen. Still, considering the original target was 3,000 words I'm more than happy.

I've also watched the behind the scenes part of FOB's **** and decided that Joe is extra adorable, and they really don't pay Dirty enough. As well as reading two Pete/Mikey stories. One of which ended badly, the other where Mikey died and became a vampire. Both of which I enjoyed. Still, the craving for happy Mikey/Pete is still there.

I need to start narrowing down my choice of story for the popslash remix. I tell you, after reveal you'll hear all about my trauma. In detail. Like lots of detail.

Britain's Next Top Model started last night, and man, what a bunch they are. Still, I couldn't be without my trashy Monday night show.

Corey brought a letter home yesterday saying that the school times are moving to a 8:30 start from September, with a finish at 2:50. Which is fine by me. Today he brought home a letter saying the school is off for strike action on Thursday, though he was more amused by the fact the teacher's union is called NUT than anything else.

More like, teacher's aren't allowed to strike in the US? Though it doesn't really matter when they do, kids get a day off so they're happy and nobody else cares. :(

Teachers, firefighters, paramedics, and police officers are not allowed to strike in the US.

Yep. National Union of Teachers, but NUT is so much funnier. And yeah, they can strike.

Can I ask a silly question?

I was planning to post Epic Porn tomorrow for my date but it's not ready! Would you be very upset if I wrote a ficlet for tomorrow, and claimed the 30th for my porn...?

4700 words per person from now on, and we'll hit 100,000. Wherein we = not me. :D But even without that, it's an impressive amount. And the quality has been really high!

Yeah, I can't see that happening somehow. Which is a pity.

Though if someone produces something really long I may polish up a WIP or ficlet to get over the magic number.

Actually because 2 dates are doubled up, it's only 3,761 words per person. :D

I just don't understand the lack of happy Mikey/Pete. It makes me sad. They're so adorable together!

They are!

I get that it was a summer fling, but flings can last! They can carry on and become more, happiness and black picket fences! They'd have a houseful of dogs and cats, all of which have their own wardrobes and they'd text each other from the same room, the same bed even.

Like. Mikey's phone beeps, and he hides a grin in the pillow as he reads mrning lv u xoxo, because Pete is right next to him in bed.

They can also write the summer fling with a bit less melancholy. It's always, "oh, woe, bitterness that it will never last" instead of "Woohoo, summer fling, how awesome!"

Yes! They can enjoy being together without counting down to the inevitable end. They watched sunsets together. They went to a waterpark, and why has no one written that? Because did Mikey wear shorts without a t-shirt to go swimming? Did they wedge themselves into inflatable rings and drift around, their wrinkly fingers touching in the water.

Mikeyway swimming is giving me such an awesome mental image. Oh man, his hair would have been a disaster, and Pete would rub sunscreen on his back.

Again, I so love your brain! And yes, why can't they be happy watching sunsets and going to water parks! Sliding down huge slides of water and dunking each other as an excuse to touch!
