It was so lovely logging on and reading the congratulation comments about [livejournal.com profile] pop_newsletter's 100th issue, typical that on that special occasion I managed to totally miss off a few of the Bitty Bang stories.

In a way it feels like yesterday that I first suggested creating a newsletter for the pop fandom, and here we are now. 100 editions later. But, I guess it's time to say I've been thinking about handing it on. I haven't 100% decided, I know it's only a community but it means a lot to me. It's a history of nearly two years of popslash, because of [livejournal.com profile] wistfuljane it has an attached del.icio.us that lists all the stories that have been posted in that time frame by pairing and genre. I guess I'm just proud of it.

Thank you also to [livejournal.com profile] rikes <3 I've missed my extra user icons a lot, but didn't say anything because I always worry that it looks like I'm hinting, which I'm not at all. I can upload more Christmas icons now :)

We went to see about Corey's Christmas present this morning, while at the shopping center the fire alarms went off and all the shutters started rolling down and people started hurrying toward the nearest emergency exits. I wasn't amused at all. Thankfully it was a false alarm and we got to go talk to a nice game guy about X Boxes.

Last thing. I read and really enjoyed a story by [livejournal.com profile] sinsense yesterday. It's The Used, specifically Jepha. I have to admit they're a band I know very little about, but I know [livejournal.com profile] sinsense is a great writer and when I saw it was about pegging I had to read. So you know, if that's your kink too, give it a try. Into You Like a Train

The newsletter is what I love about you. Well, not the actual newsletter, which is completely awesome, but the idea of it. That you thought of doing it at a time when popslash really needed something like that. Your love of fandom is a shiny thing indeed, and we all benefit by it, no matter what the fandom is. And with the newsletter, you've done a truly amazing job. <3

That's such a lovely thing to say, thank you.

I love fandom a lot, and I could never give back as much as its given me.
