Much love to [personal profile] saxihighlandck for my lemus and also surprise postcard. You're all kinds of wonderful. *mwah*

We finally got our greenhouse. It's only a small one, just big enough to walk into and the kind with plastic not glass and we've had to put it on the path next to our back door, but still, greenhouse. As soon as he bought it James wanted it put up, which is why I spent a few hours in the teeming down rain putting together what's basically a giant wendy house. But once it was done it was very cool to stand under the plastic and listen/watch the rain. We have plants in it, strawberries, tomatoes, peppers, chillies, spring onions, beetroot, more tomatoes, and we may kill them all because we've never done this before, but right now they're looking good. I really hope there's a time when I can walk outside and take tomatoes off the plant, that would be fantastic.

James is at work this weekend so I'm going to spend the time finishing my getMikeylaid story. I've also got my first h/c bingo prompt off being looked over. It was for the embarrassment prompt and as I tend to have an embarrassment squick I decided to go for the get it over with quick option. Like when you rip off a band-aid, once it's done it's done. Now none of that explains why the story ended up being a gennish Brendon cross-dressing story. I don't even know, it just happened and I ended up with this story and I was boggled.

The [community profile] mikeyway_daily Planet Awesome results go up today and I'm looking forward to seeing them. We had amazing entries this time, and I'm thrilled that despite a few hiccups things went well.

I guess I should get back to Mikey and Ryan and actually get them laid. If you hear a knocking sound coming from this direction be reassured, it's just their hipbones clacking together. And man, I Write Sins just came on TV. It's a sign.

ETA: I was just looking at KC's CS pics and the one with us all on the bed is cracking me up big time.

Lots of good luck with your greenhouse! I have no experience with them myself so I can't give you any advice, but I'm sure it can't be so difficult. As long as you make sure to not either overwater or underwater the plants and give them enough fertiliser, they should in theory grow themselves ;-)

Good luck with your writing. (And I'm glad that you told us, I did wonder what that weird clacking noise was!)

You really had some excellent entries in the challenge. It will be fun to see who won.

Yay for greenhouse and I'm sure you guys will nurture, not kill, those plants so that they produce tons of nummies!

My friend in Cornwall just had a new one put in. It's so cool to walk in one of those and see all of the little plants start to sprout up. It's oddly not something I see here in the midwest...maybe it's too cold?

Fresh tomatoes that you've grown...taste the best!

Yeah, I was thinking it has to be that the winters are too harsh for the smaller greenhouses, that they would need heating. Maybe they're common down south?

Yay for a greenhouse! Best of luck, and remember that there's always next year. ;)

Your greenhouse sounds awesome. Larry always plants a big garden, but this year has decided to let the plot rest for a year. But he still planted tomatoes, because there's nothing better than walking out the door in July and picking a ripe tomato.

It looks awesome right now. We've talked and if we actually manage to grow something we may get a bigger one for next year, once the garden is sorted out. But for now we're starting small.

Hmmm, yes. You're making me crave tomatoes now.

I hope your greenhouse experiment is a success! I'm jealous.

And for the record, I'm a fan of any and all crossdressing Brendons and Mikey/Ryan fic.

I hope it's a success too. I guess we'll see if we have green fingers.

The crossdressing Brendon has been posted. Now I get to sit and gnaw my fingernails.

YAY for greenhouse. My parents have one of the plastic ones (they had a larger one, but had to take it down because of zoning issues). Enjoy it! Just make sure you water frequently in the summer. Even though it is just plastic, they get ridiculously hot.

I am working on your story, so look for that soon. Then it is on to Planet Awesome and my mad math skillz. *g*

Good luck writing. I need to get back to Mikey and Spencer. The moaning sounds you hear from my half of the world is Mikey losing his virginity. *g*

I was wondering if the plastic ones got as hot as glass. Thanks for the tip.

Check and check for both of those. You're being very productive.

Which I won't be now! You and your moaning comment. GAH!

Greenhouse!! I want to see pictures! My greatest hope is for my tomato plants, too. I think you're bound to get something - if I can, you certainly can.

I will post a picture!

Your posts were very inspiring when I was thinking about actually getting the greenhouse finally. We're both such beginners but it's obvious how much you love your plot, so we went for it.
