I woke up to find another half eaten, dead mouse today. Dnw mice coming in my house. /o\

Over the last week I've helped make pans of brownies, ginger biscuits and chocolate cake. Sadly all of which contained so much sugar, chocolate, syrup etc that eating them would have put a huge dent in my calorie allowance. But I did lick the spoon for the brownie mix. I'm not made of stone, people.

The last week has been a haze of shopping and cooking and going out and doing stuff. Today James and Corey are at a bag pack with the scouts so I'm taking some online time to try and catch up. I was going to have a pj day but my neighbour knocked and when I answered the door said sorry for waking me. As I'd been up at least four hours at that point I thought I'd better pull a brush through my hair at least. Then went on and got dressed. Still, I've watched the Christmas Leverage episode, caught up on Supernatural and am at skip ridiculous number on my flist. Talking of which. romanticalgirl has been writing December ficlets and she's posted the one for me. It's Frank/Mikey roomie fic and it's just perfect ♥

Sadly my own vow to finish my two main WIPs by the end of the year isn't going to happen. I still have faint hope for one but even that depends on actually getting time to write. I'm close to the end, at least that's what I keep telling myself. Then I look at the scenes left to write and sigh tragically

But what isn't tragic. no_tags is running again!

Ugh, halfeaten dead mice sound like really icky things to find in one's house. But at least you know your cats are good for something besides lounging around all day and eating cat food :-)

You're much less selfish than I am. I don't think I could stand baking a lot of things when I couldn't eat them myself.

I'd almost started to wonder where you'd disappeared to but it is soon Christmas so I figured you were just busy. I'm glad to know I was right. Stupid neighbour btw, forcing you to look presentable on a Saturday morning!

That's too sad. Maybe you'll get them finished in January? Things should be much less hectic then. Even with the addition of no_tags. (I was so happy when I saw it would happen again this year. There was so many good stories written for it last year.)

Well, we got some of those repelling sonic things yesterday so hopefully the mice will keep away now. But yeah, it's good the cats earn their keep.

The brownies were so good. But it helped that they were for the scout party, so they were never for us anyway.

Yeah, it was a busy week last week. Yesterday was the first day I'd had time to just sit and chill for ages.

I'm hoping that the killjoys story gets done soon, and the other will get done in Jan. It's already really late.

After I finished enjoying looking at Mikey's shoulder -- which admittedly took a long time -- my thoughts turned to Pete/Mikey. Not that it takes much for my thoughts to go in that direction *g*

Girl I hear you. I had the same kind of lofty notions myself. So not happening. Meanwhile the Pete/Mikey killjoys fic I was writing for the Happyfic challenge continues to not get finished, and gets more and more jossed by the day. I swear I used to be able to write short fic!
