Whoever designed the hula hoop game for the Wii Fit is a sadist.

No wonder it's classed as fat burning, you finish and stagger to the nearest flat surface then have to just sit there, unable to move and surviving on your fat reserves.

You'll be pleased to know I have enough to last until 2035.

I love the hula hoop! It's everything else that tries to kill me ;-)

OMG! How can you love the hula hoop!? They kept throwing hoops at me, my poor Mii was in danger of taking off she was spinning so fast.

Saying that. The yoga is brutal too. Who knew standing and breathing was so hard?

[identity profile] digital-diva.livejournal.com 2010-02-04 12:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Yoga sucks! I was given two legs for a reason! I CAN'T STAND UP ON JUST THE ONE! ;-)

I've unlocked a six minute and ten minute version. SIX MINUTES IS DEADLY, BEWARE. I refuse to try ten. D:

Everyone is all about the Wii Fit. I persistently stick to my non-game console ways.

The stuff away from the console is good too. But I like Wii Fit because I can do it on my own, then no one can see my dying at the end *g*

The thought of six minutes hula hooping is making me feel faint D:

Yoga does suck! Down with yoga!

[identity profile] digital-diva.livejournal.com 2010-02-04 01:41 pm (UTC)(link)
I did the jackknife exercise on Tuesday. It's a belly muscle tightening thing. Yeah, nearly had to call the ambulance ;-)

But, on a positive note, if the soreness is any kind of measure, this shit really works! ahahahaha!

[identity profile] musiquedevie.livejournal.com 2010-02-04 02:26 pm (UTC)(link)
ROFL!! This post made me laugh. ;-D Thanks. <3

Don't you love workouts like that where you feel you're gonna never move again? LOL

You're welcome!

See, I've never had workouts like that, this is all very new to me so it's a shock to the system. I could have cried when someone knocked on the door and I had to get up *g*

LOL! I think I actually liked the hula hoop game - I didn't completely suck at it. But I only did it once or twice so my opinion might not be all that noteworthy. *g*

It's fun at first and then they keep throwing those damn hoops and it all goes to hell! >:(

*g* I can't do the hula hoop at all. I have the plus version and I prefer the marching band, obstacle course, and the snowball fight ones. Some of the yoga positions made me laugh hysterically; I just went through and added the easy ones to my workout.

GO TERRI GO!!!

Ahahaha, I do love your explanation for fat burning though. So true!

[identity profile] ephemera.livejournal.com 2010-02-04 11:59 pm (UTC)(link)
OMG - the marching band one? So hard! I normally rock the rhythm-based games, whereas my SO rocks the balance ones, so it was somewhat startling when he beat the *pants* off me on the first attempt. I can't march in time and do hands at the same time, apparently. Oh, but the bird flying one? Talk about knackering!

[identity profile] ephemera.livejournal.com 2010-02-05 12:00 am (UTC)(link)
Did you make it through the heading footballs one without collapsing in a heap of giggles? Pandas! Shoes! Flinching!

Oh yes, the marching band is difficult - I can't keep on beat at all! (But I have fun trying!) I tried the bird one once thinking it would be easy, but no, not so much. :D

I've just unlocked a new hula hoop game so decided to give it a go this morning. Omg! Hula hooping in one direction then the other. I could have killed those damn Miis throwing new hoops.

Would you recommend the plus version? It does sound like there's fun stuff involved.

Yoga >:(

I've just finished my 20 minutes for today. Apparently my legs do actually have muscles? *wilts*

Losing weight while collapsed in a heap. It's a fine concept *g*

I get very annoyed at those shoes. Each time I see them flying toward me I flinch, and then end up smacked in the face.

But man, I suck so hard at the step class thing. I'm always that half beat behind.

I would definitely recommend the plus version - it has 15 new games that are challenging and fun.

* The Perfect 10 game is fun - use your hips to hit the numbers that equal 10 (or 15 for advanced, then 20). Brain and body exercise!

* The Obstacle Course was frustrating at first - run past the swinging balls, jump over rolling logs, don't fall off, don't get hit - but after I got the hang of it I loved the challenge.

* The Snowball Fight is just fun!

* The Marching Band - ughh, this one kills me. Walk in time with the beat and move your hands at specific times - I'm so not good at multitasking! But it is challenging and quite the workout so I'm still trying. (and getting better!)

Plus, I really like that it now shows estimated calories lost - that motivates me more than anything. Honestly, I don't think I could go back to the original version now!

Those do sound fun.

Though marching band sounds brutal! I'm barely managing the basic step game right now, I think marching band would kill me.

Thanks for all the info. I suspect I may be investing in the game :)

I so curious about the Wii Fit, my sister has just got one. Are you finding it easier now...?
ext_1650: (Default)

[identity profile] turps33.livejournal.com 2010-02-22 05:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm finding it a little easier for some of the activities. Not much but I'll suddenly realise that I've been jogging on the spot for two bars instead of one, stuff like that.

I got the Biggest Loser game yesterday and did the first workout earlier. Did you know your legs have muscles?

But yeah, I really like the Wii Fit. It's fun and also makes you work.
