Be sad the band is over, sure, but to be mad at Gerard for not being the person he was. That makes no sense to me.
This. We are being afforded a glimpse of Gerard we would have never seen if the band were still going. Do I miss the band? Sure. Do I wish the band had never broken up? Of course. But the reason they mean so much to me is as much who they are as their music. So a door closes but a window opens and I don't want to miss a thing.
