A while back

lesasoja asked for icon prompts, I gave her my Mikeyway boot icon. I got back and she'd written the story that goes with it, and just. I was blown away, seriously.

It's so good. It's Mikey/Pete with a gut wrenching Ryan mention at the end and I loved it. Just go read it. I've linked to above the cut because there are warnings, but it's so worth it.

I spent the weekend at

nopseud's with many other brit popslashers and also bonus Rikes and Saba. The whole meet up was to say goodbye to

trumpeterofdoom who's leaving us :(

I don't think you can really do justice to these meet ups without being there, but we had. Gingerbread cannibalism. Dude, seriously. Kira chomping down on Nick's crotch was a sight to see, and as for poor Justin's arm and eye...woe. Gingerbread sex, revisited shelacked frogs. Examined animal dildos on a laptop linked to the tv. Cake shopped the letter boys, discussed fic and a thousand others things, or if you're me, listened.

nopseud's new conservatory was awesome, and just the right size to be filled with airbeds and fangirls. Also, fluffy pink lights and Lamp!

Which brings me to the best of all. Lamp was married this weekend. There are pictures *nods*

Though, actually. I lie. The best of all was spending time with awesome people, because I tell you. There's nothing like sitting and having Saba petting your arm on one side and Ephemera leaning into you on the other and other cool people close by.

And now I need to finish laundry, the amount of which astounds me because we've only been away two days, yet the basket is full.

Before I go though. When I woke Corey up this morning Pansy and Milo were lying together on his bed. This needs mentioning because while my other cats tolerate each other they never seem to actually like each other. So this was such a sappy heart-eyes moment.

He did! To Saba. She'd been modelling for A and had on A's wedding dress, so of course it was the perfect time for Saba to marry Lamp. The pictures are awesome.

Kittens really must have magic. Milo is really quite smitten with Pansy. Which I didn't expect, because he's a bit of an idiot.

Maybe Chris will have a threesome? I mean, Saba and Lamp. It's a combination of awesome.

It was actually Saba, she was modelling for Anna and had on her wedding dress, and it just made sense. Lamp was right there!

The pictures are awesome, Saba puts so much emotion into it, and you know. With it being Anna's lamp it's the Lamp the started it all. That makes it even better I think :)

Awww it's okay! We did get back home in one piece in the end, it was just the stupid Derby-Sheffield bit that was undergoing works/floods/whatever.

How's it going in your corner of the world?

Things are pretty good in my corner of the world. The weekend was kind of soggy as a result of Tropical Storm Hanna, so I spent it cleaning. Not that fun, but it really needed to be done.

It was a particularly good sparkly weekend, I think, and it made all the stress of stupid incompetant builders totally worth while.

Lamp has moved back into the living room, from the ~~honeymoon suite~~ conservatory. He looked very sad as Pen drove his bride away. I really hope the long-distance relationship thing works out for them.

It was a fantastic weekend. You're always such a wonderful host, and it's always a shock coming back to reality where delicious food doesn't just appear and people aren't there to hug.

The conservatory was such a wonderful thing. It summed up the brit popslashers really. A lava lamp, pink fluffy lights and many blow up air beds. Awesome.
