There was so much good stuff on twitter this morning.

Jon's tweet about AFYCSO, the video for Na Na Na -- which I enjoyed so much! Though seeing the words gag and bore me in context makes it a little bit harder to imagine he's talking about some kinky sex practice. Ray being the most adorable man ever -- of course he bought 3 copies, of course he did -- and Gerard starting to kill off his role play characters. Which was sad! It's not supposed to be sad, what the hell is wrong with me?

I've been over at anon_lovefest. I don't know if any of you read the proof series that gets posted there, but omg, a response for one of the requests hit one of my kinks so hard it felt like a slam.

Oh, for people who know such things. Is the picture of Battery City in the video an actual city? Or just some stock image? Also, I want an icon of jazz hands changing colour.

For something that isn't fannish, last night Tinker was doing her usual thing of sleeping on top of my computer tower. Deeply asleep she fell to one side, knocking the candlestick holder off my desk, which knocked off the phone and a pile of letters and a wolf ornament, breaking off its foot. She then sprang up in fright, ran over my keyboard, latched on my arm, all claws out and scratched into my wrist. Pets, such a trail at times. And at first I typoed Pete there, which I guess works too. He sounds sad right now. Over invested, me? Ha.

Oh and hey, it's my LJversary today. 8 years, 3447 posts, 71,854 comments received, 78,799 comments posted. What can I say? I like commenting.

And now I'm going to see if someone has ripped The Young Veins video so I can actually see it. Damn country restrictions, I need my Ryan fix.

Forgot to say. I got caught up on a lot of TV yesterday, NCIS, SPN and Brothers and Sisters. The Walkers remain a train wreck, and yet I can't look away.

ETA: Looking at the hq of the pic in Ray's Ray's blog post that's not in English yeah? Or am I going crazy?

Poor you and Tinker! Silly cat. Pippin does that when she is sleeping on the back of the couch, but luckily there is the nubby couch fabric for her claws to grip.

Thank you for getting other people to help you with your story. I do prefer seeing a finished product. Plus I have a headache and owe another beta to someone else. Plus, you know, work or whatever. *g*

It was so much fun to open up my computer today and see the lyrics video! I love the imagery of it and I'm kind of amazed how much of the words fandom managed to figure out. The gag-and-bore me pic was the most boring one, I prefer to believe that he only put that in because Reprise insisted that his first choice was TOO graphical ;-D

Silly kitty! I hope your scratches will heal well and speedily. Lancecat is sensible, he only naps in places he's at no risk of falling off, preferably the couch cushion I'm sitting on at the moment!

jon's afycso tweet was nice but dammit, i wish he'd get over his blues, add everyone back and start tweeting on a regular basis again. i understand he moved and is selling his house (which i so want to buy) and actually has a life but we miss him. tyv's video was so cheesy but i love it nonetheless. oh, ryanross, you make me want to mother you, scold you and make you spit out that gum.

Yeah, Jon does tend to get moody at times. It always seems like he decides he wants nothing to do with being actually known and goes to hide out for a while. Which yeah, is his right but he is a miss. TTV is cheesy to the extreme. RyRo, awkward and adorable always.

I need a paid copy too. I am a filthy downloader at the moment.

At the beginning I thought they were going to keep Robert in a coma all season and I got annoyed thinking they'd hide the fact Rob Lowe wasn't there with obvious camera tricks. I'm glad that didn't happen. But really, what else can happen to that family?

The text on the column under the thumb looks like English to me but I think the other two columns are in Latin. I'm not sure I find the fuzzy text hard to read.

Edit: I'm positive they're in Latin. I'm not sure if it's actual text though. It could be filler text. I can make out something about living and that's about it.

Happy LJversery! I just realized that mine was a week ago. [grins] I beat you by a year.

Oh fuck, that is totally another language. Latin! [cracks up] I'm so tempted to try and translate it, but it's pretty fragmentary and if it's the same kind of bastard Latin from Frank's stamp it may not make much sense. Interestingly, not the entire newspaper is Latin, the part under Frankie's thumb is in English.

The lyrics video is just another level of awesome added onto so much awesome that I really can barely stand it. This is getting ridiculous. How can one fucking album be this good? LOL and I totally had no idea what Gerard was singing half the time. I was actually doing pretty good to get the dirty palms line, and most of the choruses were total surprises.

I gotta buy myself a copy of the song proper. Must visit Amazon, as I hate and loathe iTunes. :/

I only knew what he was singing due to other people working out the lyrics. Getting the actual right words was just another part of awesome. They're so ridiculous and fun it's unreal.

RIGHT? Bandom is picking up again, and I'm glad since I wasn't there for the first wave. I mean, I listened to all the bands, but I wasn't active in fandom. I really, really like the NANANA video; though I did complain about the use of 'then' instead of 'than' near the end in one of the MCR comms.

Erm... TYV. I'm not a big fan of Ryan and Jon's musical direction. It's just too static and 60's for me. I can't submerge myself into the lyrics like I could for AFYCSO or croon along like Pretty.Odd.. :/ Such an awkward puppy, Ryan Ross, awkward puppy. I am glad that Jon cut his hair! Ry needs to follow along with that plan.

These last few weeks have been amazing. I love the energy that's around right now, and how that's sparking discussion and fic and all sorts of fun stuff. Bandom went through a really bad year and I'm thrilled we've come out of the other side.

I like TYVs music, but only to an extent. It's like, I'll listen for sure, but only when I'm in a specific mood, because my usual taste is for much harder music. The thing is though, if Ryan's there so am I. Damn him and his awkward, adorable self.

It looks like you're right, at least that's what I've seen elsewhere. I looked and just thought, the hell?

First things first: Happy LJ-versary!

Now, I'm SO RELIEVED that even people whose first language is English have a hard time understanding Gerard when he sings. The first time I listened to the song (because whenever I watched the trailer I was too distracted by all the pretty to try to understand the lyrics) I was like, "WHAT'S GOING ON? I THOUGHT I COULD UNDERSTAND ENGLISH! D:"

Personally, I LOVE TYV. I mean, I don't love Ryan and Jon as much as I love other bandom boys (like MCR boys and Pete Wentz) but the music? I love it. And both Ryan and Jon seem to be happy with the direction they decided to go musically, and it's nice to see RyRo smile. So all in all, I loved the video.

There were many lines I didn't get at all when I listened to the song, and many I found out I'd heard really wrong. So it's no wonder you couldn't understand parts either.

The video was smiley and happy, I loved that. I have to be in the right mood for TYV music, it's so mellow that it's no good for when I'm out walking somewhere, as I end up meandering around in a daze. But RyRo being so obviously happy, that's fantastic.
