Feb. 19th, 2013 03:07 pmThank you to everyone who wished me happy birthday yesterday. Between the tweets, emails, posts, notfic, way bros graphic by Turlough, pic spam by Sperrywink at mwd and sent gifts I was blown away. You are all amazing and I'm very lucky to have you all in my life ♥
It was a good birthday overall. Corey got me stuff from Lush, while everyone else gave money. So I headed off to the shops and spent it all on new clothes. Which was great but also a gulp moment as I'm really not used to spending that much on myself. After that we went to the in-laws, and then my sisters and hung out there until about seven when I came home and ate before my brother came to visit, and ended up staying until after 10. He's a kitchen maker/fitter by trade, one of those expensive independent kitchen traders, and was eyeing up our kitchen saying how it could be easily freshened up with new fronts and counters for not that much money. So I guess that's next on the list at some point.
One thing that did make me laugh a lot was when Chris was leaving.
pensnest gave me The Back Passage for Christmas and I've been reading it, so it was sitting on the chest in the living room. Chris saw the book, with its perfect combo of name and cover, and turned to James asking if he was reading it. Until that moment I never knew James was capable of blushing that much as he spluttered that no, it was me reading it *g*

The title of that book is amaaaaazing. I went to the link and saw that James Lear's other books are similarly named. I am giggling and intrigued at the same time!

Date: 2013-02-19 07:20 pm (UTC)Let's see, in the last couple of years you've repainted Corey's room and your bedroom and completely overhauled the living room and now you're thinking of doing the kitchen. I'm incredibly impressed by your energy and dedication. You totally rock!
*snicker* Poor James :-)

Date: 2013-02-21 06:21 pm (UTC)The book is amusing me a lot. Two pages in and the lusty American has managed a blow job with his virgin roomie from University, while playing Sardines. There's talk of the roomie's cock jumping like a freshly caught catfish *g*

Poor James, I'm still laughing now thinking about it.

Date: 2013-02-25 05:03 am (UTC)Poor James, though. I've got to admit that I actual!LOLed at that. If I'm not mistaken, I think I do have an epub copy of The Back Passage in my nook. I think I got it for free? It'd take a knock on the head for me to spend $13 on an ebook (I tend to place a $7 cap for several reasons. There's an US ebook site that has one of those 'buy 10, get the next one free' and keeps track of the purchases. So, every once in a while, I get an email telling me that 'hey, your next ebook is free!!!)
Let me know if it's readable? From the blurb, it sounded ridiculous and porny. Probably exactly what prompted me to buy it. Hee!
