I managed to spill a cup of sugar earlier. Of course it went everywhere, all over the floor, hob, counters, kitchen table, everything. Despite cleaning up I know I'll be walking on sugar grains for weeks.
In much better news. I've had a lovely mail week with cards fromromantical, sperrywink and sofiaviolet. Thank you all for the unexpected, but very cheering mail. ♥ ♥ ♥
I've been to the beach a lot the last few days. Yesterday we went grocery shopping with mam and then went to our usual restaurant on the ocean side. I had the lunch time special, potato skins followed by chicken sizzler, and eating that watching the waves, the snow coming down and dog walkers on the sand was an excellent way to spend time. On Monday I was with James at a different beach, we ate dinner in the car at one of the beach side car parks, and as it was a wild day the waves were crashing like crazy. At one point we even had to reverse to the back of the car park as a wave crashed totally over the car, which was cool, but not really something we wanted to happen.
Sunday was mother's day. It was also snowing, a lot, but I went up to mam's with her gifts and cards. Corey gave me a card, though seemingly forgot it was actually mother's day as he'd been downstairs multiple times before actually handing the card over. Still, it was a nice day, quiet and chilled, but sadly yet another year passing by without being waited on hand and foot.
And hey, Mikey got a nose ring. I feel this has to be a lead up to dying his hair dark again. I can only hope!

Personally I'm hoping Mikey getting his nose pierced is a lead-up to the aesthetic for the next album being Desolation Row-esque. One can dream, right? *g*

Date: 2013-03-14 04:42 pm (UTC)The way the car park is set up is the cars can park only a path width away from the beach and a short slope of big rocks. Because it was so windy the waves were hitting those rocks like crazy, then one freak wave came right over the car. As our car has a glass roof it was insane to see.
Sugar is the worst when it spills. I've just been making tea and could feel it underfoot everywhere that I walked.
Yes! I want that too. It would be awesome. Frank with his painted nails, Mikey with his nose ring, now we need Gerard to wear a collar and Ray to finally embrace the skin tight leather pants.

Your beach lunches/dinners sound wonderful. Though yeah, I would definitely not want to have waves crashing over the car like that a second time.
