A few months ago James got caught speeding, so today he's doing a speed awareness course. He wasn't impressed heading off this morning, but better the course than points on his licence.
Yesterday I went to mam's for a few hours in the afternoon. When I was gone dad came to mine, meeting Corey who'd just come home from college. Instead of going, or Corey calling me considering I was a minute's walk up the road, dad went in the garden, checked my tomato plants and watered them all. The pressure! He's obviously enjoying giving advice and pottering a little, but if these tomatoes fail I'll be hanging my head forever.
Still on the subject of gardening. I went out there this morning and something had eaten one of my pots of sunflowers, all that there's left is two stalks :( But, we have the first tiny courgette. After last year when we didn't get any this is very exciting.
I submitted my final BBB draft and while I haven't got my extras yet, have seen my posting date on the comm. I guess I should start thinking about what to write for wave three now. I'm tempted by Gerard/Mikey, but it would be weird not to write Mikey/Frank for a bbb. Though obviously, the answer to that would be a threesome, or foursome. Ha, and there's my plan in a nutshell. Write a foursome, self.
It's now 5:20 and James' course was supposed to finish nearly an hour ago. I wonder if he's been put in bad boys driving detention?

Date: 2013-06-19 05:04 pm (UTC)Awww at your dad watering the tomatoes. Reminds me of my mum grumbling when my dad sees fit to water stuff instead of doing smth else useful in the garden, because she has a SYSTEM, dammit. (I try to help out in the garden, but lbr I get out of a lot of things by saying "but spiders :((((". Which is a legit concern! SPIDERS! WHY ARE THERE SPIDERS IN THE GARDENS!)
YES, A FOURSOME WOULD BE GREAT. :DDD Wait, who would be the four? :D?

Date: 2013-06-24 02:50 pm (UTC)I don't like bugs in gardens, but I've had to learn to put up with them. Even so, those scuttling woodlouse's under damp things are gross.
Well, initially I was thinking Ray for the fourth. But I'm sure other people could get involved too.

Date: 2013-06-19 05:05 pm (UTC)Tomatoes are so hard! Bugs like them a lot. Good luck.
Courgettes! YAY!! I still remember Frank and Jamia.

Tomatoes are hard! Especially when you have eagle eyed dads looking at them.
Ah, yeah. I loved that courgette tweet of Frank's.

Date: 2013-06-19 06:38 pm (UTC)Your dad makes me giggle. You better be careful with those tomatoes! I wonder what eat your sunflower. Rabbits maybe? Congratulations to the first courgette! I hope it's a sign this year definitely want be like the last!
I think you should totally write Gerard/Mikey. Think of all the interesting worlds you've given us glimpses of in short stories over the last couple of years. I'm sure one of them would make an excellent BBB. Not that I would mind a foursome of course. As long as it didn't include Pete that is :-P

Date: 2013-06-24 03:43 pm (UTC)I suspect it was slugs that ate the sunflowers, we have a serious slug issue. And yeah, my dad is invested in those tomatoes. I need to start leaving the lock off the gate incase he decides to pop up for a watering session while I'm out.
Ahahaha. Now I really want Mikey/Gerard/Frank/Pete. That would be fun. I was actually thinking Ray as the extra for a foursome, but am still being pulled toward Mikey/Gerard.

Date: 2013-07-03 03:55 am (UTC)I can only imagine how intense it must have been knowing that your dad was inspecting your garden. :P
Eh, you gotta write what you gotta write. Your Wave 1 was lovely. I'm sure that your Wave 3 will be so as well (regardless of the pairing(s)). ^_^

Date: 2013-07-11 01:29 pm (UTC)Dad was on holiday last week so I've been expecting him every day this week. But so far he hasn't turned up. Though I imagine he must be exhausted so it's not really that surprising. It'll be soon though, he's very involved with the garden now. Hopefully it's up to scratch *g*
♥ You say such lovely things.
