Well, September may be on notice as James went off to work this morning, then, just after eight I got a text to say he'd fallen and was being sent to the hospital. Result, a concussion diagnosis and he's home sick today and tomorrow. It turns out he fell in the disabled bathroom, and of course, with his hands and arms being locked couldn't break his fall well, so bashed his head. Then had to crawl to the door as none of the emergency alarms worked, except for the one on the wall which is set up high. He said his work was being really nice to him, and all I can think is, of course they will be, because it sounds like they're breaking some serious safety rules.

He's asleep on the couch now, and as all I'm doing is checking him every hour or so, I've been reading. I have to admit, I've only managed to read two BBBs so far, but they're two I loved a lot, therefore, recs.

colder as the years go, warm yourself again (28912 words) by annemari. Okay, let's face it. Gerard/Mikey where Mikey has a pain kink, there's no way in the world I wouldn't be reading this baby. I've been looking forward to it for a long time, and wasn't disappointed. It was everything I wanted and more.

Today is Tomorrow (12431 words) by alpheratz. Van days Gerard/Mikey which is all kinds of amazing, and also suggests a threesome that I now want like burning.

I have more I want to read, so I think I'll do that now.

But before I go, did I mention that [personal profile] turlough created beautiful art for my BBB? Seriously, even if you're not in the fandom or into the story check it out. If only to see Turlough's lovely work.

What happened to James sounds terrible! I'm glad he seems relatively okay. Hope he feels better, soon.

I'm annoyed that the alarms didn't work. I mean, that's why they're there.

Yeah, this has me feeling quite enraged. In the grand scheme of things, you (or rather, Jamea), probably have do deal with worse stuff, and still... I hope that they'll at least feel pressured into repairing the alarms.

Best wishes to James! Really, his employers of all people ought to know better than have emergency alarms that don't work or are hard to reach. Gah.

Oh no, James. D: I hope he gets better fast! What the hell, I hope they're reviewing their emergency alarms after this, that's such shit.

Poor James! I hope he feels better soon. Concussions are horrible.

Have fun reading! I hope to read your story this evening- I'm too frazzled to write, but we'll see if work releases its claws.

Oh, poor James!! I hope he'll feel better again soon. And it's awful that the alarms didn't work. His workplace has some serious rethinking to do in how they manage their safety and security plans!

I have alpheratz's story on my to-read list but I haven't been in the mood for it yet.

You say the sweetest things! *squishes you*

I'm sure that's some kind of safety violation, especially in the disabled toilets :/
