Mar. 3rd, 2014 11:08 amNo_tags happened and as usual, the stories were fantastic. As they tend to be short my plan is to read them all, even pairings that usually aren't my thing, because I'm always glad that I do. Right now I'm about 2/3 through, but I'm hoping to get the rest at some point today.
William/Travie, girlFrank/Mikey -- which was for my prompt :D, Frank/Mikey and Frank/Jamia, and so many other stories. I'm not reccing specifically because I've enjoyed all the ones I've read so far, and I'm sure the remainder will be the same.
I wrote Challenge the Doors of Time which was Frank/Brendon/Patrick for the prompt fairytale. It was fun to write, both getting the storytelling language right for the narrator parts and also imagining a world where people have wings and can fly and have to face up against hoverdrags and Patrick, Frank and Brendon do amazing things and end up singing together while manipulating nature in battle. As you do.
Talking of amazing things. Someone has been reading their way through my bandom stories at A03 and actually leaving comments on each one. Each time I see one appear I smile, because comments. I love them so much, and that person who's taking the time to leave them.
I'm enjoying the photos of Mikey coming from AP magazine. I wasn't keen on the one of him smoking but this one? Oh yes. I like his hair, it reminds me of years ago when he had it darker and more styled and pushed back at the top.
I got a new dishwasher last week, well, new to us. The dishwasher we had only worked when it wanted to, and finally gave up the ghost before Christmas when it went up in a puff of smoke. So, I had some birthday money and decided to hit gumtree. I wasn't going to spend that much, especially as while having a dishwasher is convenient, I can get along fine without one, so second hand it was. A bit of looking and we saw one that looked good, and even better when I checked the map of the seller and realised they lived on our estate. A phone call and we found out it was actually our opposite neighbour, which was great as they knocked the price down for us.
I won't say getting it working was easy, because it wasn't, something getting jarred from place in the very short journey. But now it is and working beautifully.
My computer is finally getting back to how I like it. I've recreated folders in Firefox and next job is to go to web gmail and start forwarding friends emails, and replying to some which got wiped and were overdue anyway /o\
First though, one of the cats have puked in the hall so I need to go clean that up, then go up mam's and pick a letter up that's been delivered there for Kayleigh because Kayleigh won't go there and despite knowing it's important mam's threatening to send it back to sender. Fun and games always with those two.

Date: 2014-03-03 05:31 pm (UTC)It is a pain. Plus I keep tripping myself up as I used your real name for your folder this time and the old one was your fannish name. But at least most of the folders are there now. Now I just need to raid Turlough's tags to get more desktop pictures. I've only got one at the moment and that's just wrong.

Date: 2014-03-03 09:32 pm (UTC)It must be great to have a working dishwasher again. I would love to have one but even if I could afford it there simply isn't room in my kitchen.
Hooray for getting your computer back in order!!

Date: 2014-03-09 05:03 pm (UTC)I'm loving having a working dishwasher again, especially when I'm cooking things from scratch. I hate scrubbing away at pans.
