Jun. 23rd, 2014 05:16 pmI love this photo of Mikey with Kristin a lot, and especially love this tweet from her to someone who said he should shave. It's a good reply to something that should never been put in an actual @ reply.
I'm debating joining h/c bingo. I haven't written a word since shape shifting sheep and we all know I suck at actually completing bingos. But, it's h/c bingo and with James slowly getting back to work life is getting back to normal, too. Which means writing time. At least, hopefully.
Our shower packed up again so we're waiting for someone to come out at 6 to say how much it'll be to fit a new one. Yet more expense, but as much as I love baths, a shower is needed, too. Of course now I'm sitting hot and sticky and looking forward to when the guy has gone and I can have a cool bath.
A cat story now, but not mine. Kayleigh looks after two sort of strays. I say sort of because technically they belong to someone a few houses from her, but he doesn't feed them and leaves them outside 24/7. So Kayleigh and Kay have rigged up a shelter for them in their garden, have cushions for them to sleep on outside and most import, feed them. A few nights ago one of the cats was caught by a dog, and the last anyone saw he was trapped in its jaws as it ran away. Everyone thought it was dead, until the next day, when it arrived back in Kayleigh's garden, limping but very much alive.
It's the black one that survived the dog attack.

The not so good I mentioned in my last post. Last week the dad of one of my friends died. Jill was my best friend all through school and we were joined at the hip for many years, and her family were there for me always when mine was falling apart. Frank was a fantastic man, and while he'd been ill for a long time no one expected him to die just yet.
Tomorrow is going to be hard. The family are all devastated and I ache for them all. So, goodbye Frank, I'll always remember days on the farm hay bailing and feeding the pigs. You were one of the good ones, and you're already terribly missed.

I still haven't decided tbh. But I do need something to kick start my writing brain.
