Oct. 10th, 2015 03:23 pmI was happy to see
mini_wrimo is happening again this year. Which means it's time for my annual, do I sign up or not post. Of course it's 99% sure I will as I do like the comm, but then what word count do I sign for? I'm thinking 200 a day to get back in the swing of things. I mean, two drabbles a day, I can manage that.
James is at Scout camp this weekend. Thankfully the main Scout location is only a few miles from where we live so he can come home to sleep at night, which is good as sleeping in a tent wouldn't be a good idea at all. That means today I intend to do nothing but catch up on stuff online and a bit tidying before having a long bath later on. I've already read some fic I've had tabbed forever and answered some well overdue comments. Then more of the same along with some tv watching.
Which I've already started by just watching the first episode of American Horror Story -- Hotel. Two things, Matt Bomer looks amazing in it, and also, I'm glad I decided to watch when I did and not later tonight.
Earlier mam phoned to say one of her neighbours had put up a Facebook post about finding a dead cat on the field at the top of our estate. The description sounded like another of her neighbour's cats, so I told her to go over and ask if their cat was missing, because if the worst happened and it was one of my cats, or Kayleigh's cats, or mam's cat, I'd want to know. It was that cat. It was such a lovely cat too, so friendly with beautiful distinct colouring and different coloured eyes. I'm going to miss seeing it around, but am glad she's at home now. And very glad that all of my cats are the inside kind.

Poor kitty. I always get sad when I hear someone's pet has died. I know how much Lancecat means to me.

I do get why some people have outside cats, but I feel much better mine don't want to be out.
