Snowflake Challenge -- day six
Jan. 6th, 2016 04:42 pmDay 6
In your own space, create your own challenge. What’s something you want to see more people doing in fandom? Is there something you’ve tried that you think other people would enjoy if they gave it a go? Dare your friends to try it out, and have fun with it. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so.
Create a picspam. I enjoy seeing picspams but they seem to have become much rarer these days. So, my challenge is, create a picspam of the people/things you love. Two photos or two hundred, just show us the pretty.
Away from snowflake, it was my latest appointment at the hospital with the dietician
It went okay, I've lost another 5 pounds which means more than three stone since the start of the process. As always I'm a little disappointed with the number, but to be honest I wouldn't have been surprised at all if I'd put on because after dad died watching my eating was the last thing on my mind. Then once I started to feel better Christmas happened.
My dietician is pleased with my progress and I won't see her again as my next appointment with that department is when I get the balloon out in three months. And in those next three months I'm going to try my best to have a significant loss. I can't do anything about the horrible timing of when I had it put in, but I can take control of these next three months. Because dodgy knee aside I'm feeling so much better now. I've got new clothes I like, am getting out and enjoying myself, and that can only get better.
Psych appointment on Friday. Not looking forward to that one I must admit.
After my appointment we headed into Sunderland as my phone upgrade was due. Parked the car, I got out, and within two steps had wiped out on a mossy pavement. Thankfully I landed on my backside so wasn't physically hurt, because if I'd landed on my bad knee, ouch. This old man saw me go down and came hurrying over asking if I was okay. I told him I was fine, and luckily could get myself up easily and reassure him the only casualty was my trousers which were covered in moss and muck.
After talking to him for a while we went off to get my phone and I now have a new Sony xperia. I would have stayed with Nokia but windows lack of support for apps was really frustrating.
We also picked up my dad's memorial book today, so I had a little moment thinking about him. But I think he would have been proud of what I'm doing. I just wish he could be here to see.
But, to end on a happy note. If you haven't seen it already FOB's video set around the IGBM universe is fantastic. I saw it yesterday and had much glee. But like I said on Twitter, needs more Chris!

Date: 2016-01-06 05:59 pm (UTC)Psych appointments suck. Particularly when they make you cry. Good luck.
And glad you weren't seriously hurt!

Date: 2016-01-06 06:07 pm (UTC)I'm getting worried about Fridays appointment because he hasn't really wanted to get in-depth the last two times, wanting me to get the initial hard grieving out of the way. Which I can understand, but does leave me a bit apprehensive about what's going to happen.
Me too. But if I'm going to fall landing on my backside is the way to do it.

Date: 2016-01-06 06:52 pm (UTC)ALL the good luck watching your eating! And I'll keep my fingers crossed Friday's appointment won't be too harrowing.
Ouch, ouch, ouch! I'm glad to hear your knee didn't get any more hurt but falling like that is still a shock to the whole body. (Not to mention your mucky trousers!)
I don't like the song but the idea is hilarious and Joey totally rocks! I didn't recognise Chris at first but I agree, there should have been more of him.

Date: 2016-01-07 04:25 pm (UTC)Thank you for both. Once I get tomorrow out of the way I shouldn't need to go back for a while. Well, apart from James' appointment next week, then, nothing \o/
It was a shock. I think I shocked the man watching too. I don't think he could actually believe I was okay, but I was incredibly lucky to land in a way that didn't hurt anything.
Joey is amazing in the video. He's made for that kind of role. I missed the very beginning on my first watch through so was wondering where Chris actually was. I do wonder why he wasn't in it more.

Date: 2016-01-18 03:06 pm (UTC)It's not a picspam, but your challenge was responsible in part for me deciding to create "Monday [Fandom] Madness", wherein I post about a fannish love every Monday. This week it's The Jeremy Renner Music Edition. *g* Just thought I'd let you know that you helped inspire this.
