I got James a doctor's appointment this morning but he could only see one of the new doctors, which wasn't ideal. Unfortunately the good doctors, and the ones who know his condition, are popular and it's hard to get an appointment with them.

The doctor he saw gave him another five days worth of antibiotics but wouldn't give him a sick note for work as he's within the week you can self cert at the moment. Which would be fine but that week runs out on Friday, a time when he's still supposed to be resting and taking the tablets, so we've had to make an appointment to go again then.

But in much better news, I have Kings Rising on my Kindle \o/

I'm about to go have a very long bath and read, no doubt emerging in a few hours time looking like the world's biggest prune.

I can't wait :D

Long baths are the best!

I'm enjoying the book so much. I was tempted to binge read the lot but have been restrained and lasted a few nights.

I don't understand the reasoning of the doctor at all. With how overworked most of them are creating MORE work by forcing you to make another appointment in just a few days time is just silly. And British doctors should be just as aware as their Swedish counterparts about the danger of overprescribing antibiotics! *sends all the healthy thoughts James' way*

I'm still baffled about the doctor's reasoning. It's so hard to get an appointment in the first place you'd think they'd keep them for the people that need them and not to print out a piece of paper. And you're right about the antibiotics, too.

It really is. They knew he'd have to be off past the self cert week. It just makes no sense that he needs to go down for another appointment tomorrow that could have gone to someone else.

I love baths so much. Lots of hot water, excellent smelling bath products and something good to read. I can wallow for ages.
