I had a nice birthday yesterday, lots of lovely messages from people and while we couldn't go to Mog on the Tyne we're going on Monday instead. I saw Corey, increased my Lush stash and discovered the wonder of salt and pepper chips from the Chinese takeaway.

The only thing was, I really missed dad yesterday. To a tears in the car extent when a song played the mentioned dads talking to their kids. All I can think was it's the first occasion that was solely focussed on me where he's been gone, plus I'd been talking to Pauline before she went to my cousin's wedding and she was saying how annoyed dad had been that my brother and I hadn't been invited, so much so dad wasn't going to go at first. So I just kept thinking how he quietly had our backs always.

So yeah, not the best birthday but okay. I'll take that. It didn't help that we went to the my Sil's new house, and due to her having no furniture there, had to stand for over two hours. By the time we left my knees were screaming at me, and have been aching ever since.

Which is why I'm off to have a nice soak in the bath. And yes, I would have been doing that anyway, but still...

It really was. Christmas and New Year were both so busy with my attention flung outwards. Not so much this time.

I've just emerged from my bath all wrinkly and smelling nice. Now I'm about to go watch some tv.

I deffo am ALWAYS super HAPPY when I think about it and am reminded(always)that we're birthday twins. I can't ever think of anyone better to share the day with.

I'm sorry that you were missing him, it sounds like there were some happy/comforting memories in there as well, which I'm glad for.

I've heard of salt and pepper chips before, and people always raved about them, and now I see why. They're well worth the extra £1 and I won't be going back to ordinary chips again!

Yeah, happy memories were there too. Really, apart from the very end I don't have a bad memory of my dad. He was lovely.

I had a nice time arranging all my new Lush goodies and then tried out the new bumble bee bath bomb which had an amazing scent and colour, and left my bath looking very yellow. Thankfully it's habit washing the bath out now. If I didn't it would soon look like a disco bath coated in glitter.

Standing wouldn't have been so bad except there was so much stuff strewn everywhere I couldn't move around. James was on the phone trying to sort out getting the gas put on, so all I could do was just stand there.

The bath did help, and thankfully this morning I could get out of bed without my knees protesting.
