Thank you
romantical for the card, the message made me smile ♥
Our town has been holding a food festival for the last two days and today, including celebrity chefs, even if minor celeb chefs. Yesterday was a chef from CBeebies, who I've never heard of as I'm years away from having to watch that channel, and today Steven Carter Bailey from GBBO was doing demonstrations. I was undecided about going down or not, but in the end, went for not as I've hardly been home the last four days and I needed to get some tidying done and catch up online. Plus, it's cold and wet out there and I'd have only ended up spending money on overpriced cheese from the cheese stall.
So instead tidying/cleaning has actually been done, catching up online started, and I'm considering going out to plant the courgettes in the raised bed, but at the same time -- cold and wet. We had to bite the bullet and buy courgette plants this year as none of our seeds have made it. The weather has just been too up and down and nothing has grown. We bought tomato plants last week and I've potted them all on, but the courgettes will be going outside, so maybe it's best to leave them anyway. Well, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
I did get some of my old clothes listed and have sold a few so have money for a cocktail or two. I need to get more uploaded but again, omg, so tedious. We've booked the long stay airport parking, so that's another thing off the list and I've got a couple of new sundresses and bought lots of factor 50 sun cream. Now though there's talk of Thomas Cook being in trouble and while we've booked via TUI it's for a Thomas Cook holiday, so I really hope there's nothing to worry about there.
I went to see Detective Pikachu and quite enjoyed it. James fell asleep though, so another one added to his list.
Last ever Game of Thrones tonight. I always record it at 2am when it shows here and then watch it the day after. But James is at work until 6 tomorrow and as it's a show we watch together I'll have to be careful of spoilers until he gets home. I'm sure here will be fine, but I'll be keeping away from Insta and FB until after I've watched.

Date: 2019-05-19 04:00 pm (UTC)Leaving them sounds like a good idea. Our plants have been iffy growing too.
Good luck sorting stuff!
Ahhh yay I’m glad you did!

Date: 2019-05-20 08:51 am (UTC)The one thing I've always managed to grow from seed is courgettes, but they're a disaster this year. Stupid weather, it needs to stay stable for a while.
Thank you!

Date: 2019-05-22 08:08 pm (UTC)I've also bitten the bullet and bought plants this year. Though in my case it's flowers instead of veggies. Let's hope the plants will do MUCH better than our seeds did!
I'll keep my fingers crossed nothing will disrupt your planned holiday
I somehow think the quality of the film has very little to do with if James is going to fall asleep or not ;-D

Date: 2019-05-26 02:41 pm (UTC)I hope your flower plants flourish. I'm sad about the seeds, it was very discouraging checking the seed trays and having nothing at all appear. Then got three courgettes, which started to grow then wilted and died.

That's so true.
